Save the date people cause Scape is coming in December!

Well be on the second floor in room 200. Please PM me for my cell number. What Time: Set up at 12:00, roll dice at 1:00, finish around 6:00 Point Total: 350 pts. Your army may take up no more than 16 hexes. Marvel not allowed. No customs or c3g, sov. 5 rounds, 40 minutes per round, swiss style, partial card scoring. Format: A World in Flux. The land is constantly changing, forcing armies to fight in places where they may not feel comfortable. Round 1: Standard kill em all format Round 2: Heat of Battle. Players both roll a D20 and the higher roller chooses to place first or second. The players alternate placing one card at a time. Figures are placed one card's worth at a time. You must place all of your cards worth of figures adjacent to one another AE & Retchets are deployed as normal via the drop/summon. Roll for drop will be after all other figures have been placed and before placing markers. Round 3: Fog of War. A deep fog has settled over the battlefield. All ranged units suffer from lack of visibility. -3 to all range and abilities that require line of sight. For example, the Krav Maga Agents with a normal range of 7 would now have a range of 4. Raelin (RoTV) would have an effective range of 1 for her aura and so on. Round 4: Frozen Tundra The land has frozen beneath your feet. All snow and ice is heavy and slippery. All water and swamp water is considered to be slippery ice. Round 5: Hurricane Season A massive wind has settled over the land. Units with flying lose the ability for the duration of the match. Maps:

It is more likely than not that I will be there. Just can't confirm 100% until we are a little closer to the date. I will bring maps as usual.

Re: M.A.R.S. in December: A World in Flux
Put me and Xanth on the possible list. Most likely we'll be able to make it, but strange things can happen in 2 months.
61 tournaments. 144 - 129 - 1 overall record. 4 tournament wins. My goal, play every official 'scape unit in a tournament at least once. 139 down, 68 to go! |

Re: M.A.R.S. in December: A World in Flux
Likewise... I'll mark my calendar and plan on being there, but December seems far off and is usually a pretty hectic month for us, intensifying as the the hours pass and we approach the festive holidays with uncompleted tasks gnawing at our subconscious mind like pack of hungry gnids. I hope Mrs. G. doesn't have anything planned for that weekend. The 10th should be early enough for me to get away for some R&R in the middle of her honey-do's (shopping and decorating) requirements on my time. I will follow this thread and keep you posted.

Re: M.A.R.S. in December: A World in Flux
I checked with my FLGS and they've don't carry a HeroScape Fluxx game and have never heard of one. They only have the Original Fluxx, Eco-Fluxx, Zombie-Fluxx, Priates-Fluxx, and of course my favorite Monty-Python-Fluxx. So when can we expect to see the format for this new version of yours?

Re: M.A.R.S. in December: A World in Flux
How will round 4 be handled for maps that have no snow?
61 tournaments. 144 - 129 - 1 overall record. 4 tournament wins. My goal, play every official 'scape unit in a tournament at least once. 139 down, 68 to go! |

Re: M.A.R.S. in December: A World in Flux
Cool. Hope you can make it.
We'll try and have a nice mix of snow maps in there. For those that don't we will have maps that are heavy on water/swamp water for the frozen effect. M.A.R.S: Mid Atlantic Region Scapers 30 Tournaments, 101 wins, 37 losses, 73.2 win percentage |
