Re: Captain Boomerang - Design Phase
Would this work to shorten the text a tad?
PROGRAMMED BOOMERANG Instead of attacking you may choose an unoccupied glyph within 4 spaces of Captain Boomerang or a small or medium figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Captain Boomerang. If an Equipment glyph was chosen, you may equip Captain Boomerang with the glyph. Otherwise, place the chosen glyph or figure on an empty space adjacent to Captain Boomerang. If a figure was chosen you may roll 1 attack die. If you roll a skull the chosen figure receives 1 wound. Figures moved by Programmed Boomerang will not take any leaving engagement attacks. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Captain Boomerang - Design Phase
I think Bullets might be a clearer option here like we did on Vulture.

Re: Captain Boomerang - Design Phase
That is nice and clean ... but I'm not seeing any good ways to shorten it without removing mechanics. You could, for instance, remove 2 words by making the damage roll non-optional, but I'm not sure if 2 words will do anything for ya.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Captain Boomerang - Design Phase
We could streamline the design quite a bit by making programmed boomerang only work on glyphs ... not sure if that's an option you'd consider or not right now. I do feel like we already have tons of "move a figure" powers, though, including Mirror Master in his own faction.

Re: Captain Boomerang - Design Phase
I'd be fine with just Glyphs as well.

Re: Captain Boomerang - Design Phase
Hmmm.... why does the chosen figure have to be within clear sight? I think a technologically advanced PROGRAMMED BOOMERANG could accomplish that feat. Also, why not let him steal glyphs directly from figure?
PROGRAMMED BOOMERANG Instead of attacking, you may either; * Choose an unoccupied glyph within 4 spaces and place it on this card or on an empty space adjacent to Captain Boomerang. or, * Choose a glyph on the card of a figure within 4 spaces and place it on this card or on any empty space adjacent to Captain Boomerang. or, * Choose a figure within 4 spaces and place it on any empty space adjacent to Captain Boomerang. Roll 1 attack die. If you roll a skull the chosen figure receives 1 wound. Figures moved by Programmed Boomerang will not take any leaving engagement attacks. |

Re: Captain Boomerang - Design Phase
Not really trimming the text any there, though ... also, you'd need to specify somehow that only equipment glyphs can be placed on his card, unless we're OK with him just stashing non-equipment glyphs there? Also, will there be any confusion if he places more than one equipment glyphs on his card as to whether or not he can equip multiples?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Figures moved by Programmed Boomerang will not take any leaving engagement attacks and no more than one Equipment Glyph can be placed on this card at a time. Can't help the text size too much though. Maybe this should be a 2 power card. |
