New to the game, late to the party

A word of advice to all you new players:

Leave your home. Find people in your area to play with. The competitive 'Scape scene is very friendly and welcoming. I used to play competitive chess & occasionally ran MtG tournaments, I *know* competitive gaming can be intimidating. The culture of Heroscape is different. Welcoming to newbies of all ages, once you show up at the event, you've already won.

TMRose, I know there are SoCal 'Scapers; send a PM to Xotli or scout the Events & Meet Scapers thread.

I vaguely remember seeing there are other KS Scapers but I can't remember whom. If you don't mind traveling I know there are hotbeds in various neighboring states, again, just watch the Events and Meet Scapers forums (fora?), and if you see nothing in there then don't be shy about starting a thread.

You guys both look like you're off to good starts. Happy 'Scaping.

I have 2 RotV Master Sets(my friend gave me one) and my neighbor basically gave me his Swarm of the Marro... I have one castle and the entire wave 2 (from my friend) I also have Aquilla's alliance heroes of the quagmire, grok riders ,dividers, protectors of ullar, and heroes of bleakwood. Im still trying to find some ok prices on orcs and romans... I usually play with said friend and my neighbor and sometimes my dad will play. I would just suggest getting, like everyone has said, enough terrain to make a lot of cool maps and then...I guess whichever figures you like...

Welcome Sujoah11! That is plenty of terrain to keep you busy. If you can find in-box stuff in the older waves(up to wave 6 I believe), there will even be a little more terrain(no a lot, it's only 2 2-hexers). But it's the best way to get some extra snow(I have about 20 snow 2-hexers, which are great).

Aquilla's Alliance is also quite expensive, so be glad you have it!

Yeah I think I have some extra sand 2 hex tiles from older expansions. I got Aquillas Alliance 2 years ago for my birthday so I don't know how much it was then.Thanks flameslayer93.

I also bought about 10 sets of something Ogi, including all RotV figures and terrain pieces of his two sites, because they are a very reasonable price, I know there are many things I still do not own a reasonable price...
