Fortress Walls - Scaling

Is it possible for a figure to scale the fortress walls? If so, how much move does it take?

Re: Fortress Walls - Scaling

A castle wall is 10 levels high, the wall walk tile adds one, and if there is a battlement you're at 13. Plus the figure has to be taller than what it's climbing.

I guess Jotun with two Elixirs of Speed may be able to climb a wall.

Alright, thanks! I couldn't figure out what the manual was saying about "3 full lines = 1 level" or something.

Yeah, no problem. Just count every thick line and the top. (I forgot to mention, the walls themselves are nine. With the base they are ten.)

No, Jotun is only 10 tall. Braxas, the tallest, is 13 high, but you need fourteen to land on the space, plus and additional to get your second space up (assuming she can't use fly because of negation, glyph, etc).
Assuming there is no battlement, and you are on equal ground, only braxas nilf and the other guy can climb it.

Re: Fortress Walls - Scaling

The Marro Hive could do it with enough glyphs, and enough Eldgrim's spirits.

Re: Fortress Walls - Scaling

All of these guys can do it with enough move. Although they all have the drawback of being double spaced and requiring even more movement.

Height 12 - Huge
Nilfheim
Su-Bak-Na

Height 13 - Huge
Braxas

These figures all have a move of 6. They would need Eldgrim's spirit, the Glyph of Valda, and the Elixir of Speed to make it the 13 spaces needed.

If the space adjacent to the base of the wall where the figure begins its movement is a road tile would they get the road bonus for scaling the wall or is the top piece considered a wall-walk tile?

I believe Wall Walk and Road are interchangeable, but I think it's a moot point since I don't believe the spaces counted for climbing would be considered Road.

You don't have to count the terrain types for the sides of the hexes, only the hexes you land on.

I guess you're right. I always thought of the castle walls as different.
