Re: The Beast of the East (Rhode Island, Date and Location T
Hey Mombo, Could you update the OP with the correct address. It still says the other church and I don't think you want to misslead anyone. Thanks.

How about: Turn the Tables Successfully destroy 4 opponent figures during a single order marker. Surrounded Simultaneously engage 6 of your figures with 1 opponent figure. Hot Foot Step on a molten lava space with a figure that does not have lava resistance. |

I like Turn the Tables, not sure about the other two. Though, Hot Foot could make things really interesting to say the least. The cake is a lie. -Insert Witty Signature Here- |

Re: The Beast of the East (Rhode Island, Date and Location T
Good news and bad news.
Good news. The tournament will still be on August 20th, and the tournament will still be the same format, point total, and have achievements. Bad news. The location will probably change. This is due to a number of reasons, but the owner wanted to charge everyone an entry fee which would go towards my friend's medical expenses. If we're doing the bring a prize, take a prize structure...I don't want people forced to feel that they had to also pay a fee. I know times are tough in this economy, and I don't want to put any pressure on anyone. Better news. I have another alternate location. There's plenty of space, and tables. It is also a bit closer than Warwick to those of you in Massachusetts and elsewhere. Bad news. Parking kind of sucks. Also, first post has been updated, and includes a link to my friend's blog about her trip. She also has a twitter account as well for those of you who use it. Blog link: http://nikkisienkiewicz.theworldrace.org/ Twitter link: http://twitter.com/#!/WorldRaceNikki EDIT: The location has been finalized. It will be held at Mana Core in Providence RI. EDIT x2: Please let me know if you will be in attendance. I have removed the "interested" section on the first post. I also need suggestions for maps. Re: The Beast of the East (Providence, RI August 20th)
I like the look of Dignan's latest map:

Random etiquette comment: I think that double (and triple) posting is fine, and much better than editing, when you have new information to add. I didn't see your edits until now when I came to the thread after seeing your comment in the northeastern events thread. Also, I'm still a maybe, and will unfortunately remain so up until the week of the event (unless I become a "no" sooner than that, which I hope I won't). THanks, Dignan's map looks pretty cool. Also, check out Mad Wookie's new Incendium. Very interesting map (I'vep layed on it).

And Ollie, yeah I kind of wanted to avoid constantly double/triple/quadruple posting. I didn't want to tick off the mods. I know they would have understood (I hope), but I still didn't want to take the chance. Is there any definite list of what's going to be played for maps at GenCon yet, or is it still up in the air? Re: The Beast of the East (Providence, RI August 20th)
The mods generally won't bother New Englanders in a thread about a New England event. Anyone reading the thread wants the new information, so wouldn't be ticked off.
The GenCon maps are right here (scroll down a bit) For this event I'm still a 70% chance- we'll have a German student staying with us for a year, and it might be a good opportunity for my dad to show him Providence; it's a little too early to get him hooked on Heroscape tournaments. |

And, most importantly, there's no reason for anyone to be "ticked off" anyway because posting when you have something new to say is perfectly acceptable regardless of whether you were the last person to post in the thread.

Re: The Beast of the East (Providence, RI August 20th)
Why are the maps used at GenCon a big deal to everyone? I'd rather play on maps everyone (or at lerast you Mombo) thinks is/are fun rather than maps that are chosen because they're ocmpetitive.
