if you could, then it would not have changed anything. what you would do in the future, being in the past, would already of happened, savy?

imagine a line that loop-deloops at one point, and overlaps itself, and keeps going.

though this is by no way scientifically proven, this is my hyp[othisis.

whats happened in the past, happened in the past. think about this.

how do we know that our future selfs/decendants, are not spying on us, or effected us in the durration of ouir lifetime by doing something. If that is the case, then we are destined, in the future, to come back to our time, now, and do the exact things our older selfs do.

does anyone understand the words commin outa my mouf?(god, i love rush hour)

The only reasons I'd use a time machine would to do things like see the oringinal Star Wars on it's opening night or purchase cool toys I wasn't able to get as a shorty.

You need to get a copy of The Complete Time Traveler. That should clear all of this up for you.

A shocking story. It made me feel that "creepy" feeling. I hated it. The story was certainly very well-thought-out, but I still get a sick feeling of repulsion when I think of it. (And I read it about 5 years ago!) I really can't explain why.

Even if people made an engine capable of doing it ? Like the stress form it would be too much ?
It's because your reference for time changes as you increase your speed. The faster you go, the more time slows down for you. So from the perspective of someone travelling the speed of light, their speed would be infinite because time would be moving infinitely slow. So it's not just that you can't travel faster than light, you can't even travel at the speed of light (since from the perspective of the mover it's infinite speed). You can only approach it.
Hmmm, what about some time phase shift thru dimensions etc.... That wouldn't call for speed would it ?

Hmmmm again. But wouldn't that require the belief that time had already run its course at least once all the way through and then looped back around ? I'm not sure I believe that time woyuld always be perfectly aligned in its replays if that were the case. Also it's sad to think if time were reoccuring all the time [ with slight typos ] that this reality is the best we can do

I did se the original Star Wars on the openong nights and you are right to want to go back in time. :P

If I could go back in time I'd

1. Smack myself for being so stupid

2. Give myself lots O' cash [ old cash from that year ]

3. Tell myself how to score better at an earlier age
