I had meant for the being to be unseen. As though the fortress itself would rather fall into ruin than play host to the forces of evil. Guess I didn't make that clear enough . Congrats to DF, well done.

Well, this is a wonderful thing to come home to. I'd like to thank the academy and such. Anyways.

Well, I've been reading back in the thread and seeing all the prompts I've missed and looked at who won and even read some of the stories. It was all just fine and dandy like it had been when I left, but one new thing stuck out that has been annoying me to the point where I just can't abide it anymore.

I've seen the words It Doesn't Fit The Prompt way too many times. So, screw it, there is no prompt this week. Bring me a story about anything you want as long as it still pertains to Heroscape somewhat. Make it dark (I can't stress how many brownie points a dark story will get from me), beautifully written, as if you wanted the love of your life to become infatuated with you because of what you've written, and I want good characterization. No cliches. None of that fantasy cliche stuff. Give me something I haven't seen before. And above all, I don't care if it fits the nonexistent prompt (so, I guess, in all actuality, you can ignore everything I've written after the third sentence in this paragraph) or how long the story is. So, hop to it. Its due by Sunday night, though extensions will be give if necessary.

Whoa. That was incredible. Maybe not the best for meter, but still, the rhyming... incredible. How long did it take you to come up with that?

Glad you like it TGRF. It took about 8 minutes after I decided to do a poem. Originally I was just going to post - Let it be known, the age of anti-prompt has begun. Embrace the darkness. Then I just modified it to fit my poem.
I have a knack for rhyme. My biggest weakness is that I can get a really good start and then kinda flame out.
