Seriously, I thought it was sheer poetry (literally), I can't even compare on writing poetry. It was fantastic.

Wow, EL. That was pretty impressive. I've tried my hand at turning out some poetry now and then, but I can never get the tempo right and still make it say what I want it to. You did pretty good at that. This makes me wonder what a poetry contest would be like...

Okay, sorry to bring back more competition like this, but I'm going back on what I said earlier. The idea of a short poem had not occurred to me. Like EL's try to find the rhythm in this: it'll read a lot better.

A wolf lurked in the Dark;
On the world of Feylund was where.
He answered his companions’ Bark,
And all the forest was his lair.

Ferociously he did fight,
And made the elves, his enemies, run.
And they fled before his might;
And so all his battles, they were won.

Then in the night and in the Black,
A sword his head did cleave.
His body suddenly went all slack,
And he felt his spirit Leave.

A great land he was seeing
And it was Utgar that he fought for
The Valkyrie was a powerful being
And for him, did he fight this war.

But to go home he greatly yearned.
And through a wellspring he went soon.
And back to the forest he then returned,
And above him, shone the full moon.

Not exactly too much to judge, I know. Just think how hard it is to get everything to match up just right.

There once was an elf named Rick
And Rick was kind of a dick
So they came in the night
And set his house alight
I can't say his death was quick

Rick's vision turned to black
He wished God gave him slack
But his vision returned
And now he yearned
That his sight had never came back

Before him, the mighty Utgar stood
He spoke, "Come work for me, if you would."
Rick nodded his head
And Utgar said,
"Mopping the floor, get started, you should."

Aha! Someone has managed to fit in the humor! At last! This is turning into an all poetry challenge. Of course, you know, if someone comes on and writes up a story we're toast. (Most likely) ...

Yeah sorry I wasn't able to get a story up either. I just kept getting swamped day after day and when I did have time to write I couldn't think of anything.

Hey guys, sorry been gone for a bit. I have not expected for these poems to take such affect. I liked them both Dragonfire, and your's to TGRF.
I laughed at yours Dragonfire, it was good humor in that poem.

I noticed that this challenge has taken itself in a differnet way. I also notice that many of you couldn't sumbit there story. I will give another week until we make a decision.

Also I'm just wondering. Would you all want to continue doing poems? or would you still want to continue the challenge I gave you all? (Trying to make sure if you still want to do it or not.)
