$3 for an unknown figure or $15 for 6 known figures. Which do I choose - Hmmmm? I did buy the Fast Forces pack, but I think it is the most I have spent on heroclix considering I either got bricks (of 192 figures) for $60 or bought extras off people for $.50-$1.50 a figure. Maybe I will just wait to see singles of common units online or wait a year when they go on sale.

Personally, I see no reason to ever buy blind, unless the packs themselves are extremely cheap ($3 for a HorrorClix booster? How can I say no?).

Today, we have - S.H.I.E.L.D. Specialist and Maria Hill. Nice new generic, nice new... character, if she doesn't have a figure already. I didn't know Maria Hill was so recent a character... I only know her from the Avengers cartoon, and figured she was an old-timer.

Nice sculpts and they are actually different. I believe Maria Hill's head is tilted a bit to the side while the Specialist's is straight.

There's only one reason to go blind - if you want pretty much everything from the set and you have absolutely nothing from the set yet, I say why not buy a booster and see if you grab any rares to save yourself later. But, after that initial "lottery ticket" buy, it should be no more blind purchasing afterwards.
That's my strategy, anyway.

Or buy a brick when they are on sale. Prices went up now from below when it was MUCH cheaper to get than singles this even if only you play half of the CHARACTERS in it only for heroclix and throw the rest of the figs away. However, you can always sell or trade your extras.

Are these still going on? Ignore the following sentence, because if you don't play 'clix you'll have no idea what I'm talking about. --> Avengers is the first modern age set, and a great one IMO. Other modern age sets like Web of Spiderman and DC75th have bricks at $90+. But this isn't an Avengers brick for $80. It's 2 Avengers bricks for $80. I am seriously considering that sale right now.

(Also, ZOMBIE DIRK ANGER, which is a good deal less interesting.)

EDIT: AND HOLY CRAP IT'S MODOK! HE'S HUGE! Like, look at the size of his base... like, five or six inches tall at LEAST!

Alright, first post updated with Halo HeroClix - they've had HaloClix for a while, but this one will be compatable with the other 'Clix stuff, so... if you're desperate for Gears vs. Halo, well, now you can. Of course, you could with customs in HeroScape, but, whatever!
