I'm surprised this would make you stop completely. Why wouldn't you just not buy the cartoonish characters?

The reason they changed those things was to cut costs and make a better profit, so of course they would charge the same amount.

That's not what I mean by clones. The Zombie 2-pack is two of the same common set, bundled to save us from having to buy multiples of some other squad and to take steps to alleviate the bad buzz the Drones/Minions pack caused.

By clones, I mean a "new" card that has the exact same stats and powers as an old card, just with a new figure/name/general allegience. Magic the Gathering did that sometimes.

I get requests about three times a month for Heroscape dice towers, and man, I would love to fill those orders, but I'm allergic to lawsuits. Heroscape storage bins would be sweet.

I agree that I don't want a Heroscape juice box or a Heroscape school binder. But a Heroscape backpack - one with compartments for various pieces of gear - would rule. And I would love to watch a Heroscape cartoon.
I agree with the game accessories....dice towers, storage bins, card binders, etc would be kinda cool. An ongoing comic series would, I think, be the best way to do Heroscape fiction, although I'd probably watch a cartoon at least here and there. If they got some good artists and writers, they could have a fun little monthly comic though. Perhaps each issue could include a new scenario.

License to Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Lord of the Rings, Transformers, GI Joe, etc....characters that have an established fan base and are true classics. I don't have to buy any license I don't want, but it would just hurt the whole brand I think to be tacked onto everything that comes down the pipe.
I second this. I personally, don't like the Marvel concept any more than I'd like to see Bratz figures. I can see that there's a huge fan base for Marvel characters already, and there's a nostalgic factor as well, but it just doesn't sit with me.

I can just imagine Sgt. Drake Alexander coming up against Spiderman and saying:
"Well, we meet at last, Spiderman. A fight to the death, no less. But you know, when I was on Earth I read all your comics - I'm a big fan. Now fight!"

I'm just not getting into it. Maybe it's because I'm not a big comic book fan.

J
Perhaps. But whether you like Marvel or not or plan on buying it or not, I would think you can respect the pedigree. It's not some fly by night license that's not going to be around in a few years. I think there's a big difference between Bratz and Marvel for that reason.

I don't personally like the idea of Transformers Heroscape, but I think it's a quality license and would probably be a smart move down the line.

Or so they could make the same profit in the face of rising production costs and inflation. Cut these guys a little slack from time to time folks!

Lol....true, with rising costs they probably are still making the same percentage, aren't they?

Take that, Hasbro! Oil ain't so easy to get now, is it?

Sorry for the threadjack, but what do all of you think about "reissue" packs that would just be single squad packs of commons, with 2 squads to a pack as per the zombies pack? You can get the drones without the minions that will collect dust, or the hounds without all those primadons. They could "reissue" a wave of the most popular common squads first, and then fill out other waves in order of popularity. Then they could do a unique wave. It would make complete wave orders a whole lot more simple.

I'm surprised some seem so anti-tank. I am all for vehicles in HS. In fact, if they made just a few, I would probably only play this game. Same goes for Transformers. The reason I still play MW is because they mix everything together. HS doesn't.

I respect HS that it fulfills my need to mix Sci-fi and fantasy settings. And for that, I stick with the game. I love to have guys with all swords and bows, go up against all guns and bombs.

Anyway, things I don't ever wish to see in this game.

1. No tanks/ vehicles. Thats right, bring them on.

2. Continuous amounts of humans only. Mix it up. They are doing good so far, just don't sway off the path.

3. NO GANGSTERS! Don't think I can say that enough. Mafia, maybe. No GANGS!

4. Stopping terrain sets. Keep them coming.

5. Exact replicas in stats. I understand that after a while this will happen regardlessly, but change one or two things. Thats all I ask

6. No reprints of waves. This isn't a collectible game like MW or Star Wars Minis, so please don't make it require an arm and a leg to get a hold of certain waves. I understand this may happen anyway, but don't print small amounts.

7. A deep lack of fiction. I do wish they would add something to this. But I do understand why it is the way it is.

8. Firing all the guys in charge. If they leave, it could be bad. Of course, it could be good. But mostly bad.

9. Overboard with advertising. I would like to see action figures that are fully poseable and I mean"fully" poseable. But no going overboard. bed sheets would be cool!

I would love this wave:
Vipers X2
Drones X2
Hounds X2
Swog X2 ( with a lot of tiles )

Also this Wave:

Orcs
Romans
4th Mass & Wolves
B-Trons & G-trons

Another Wave:

All the unique packs (except for the Cowboy and Samurai, and Agent and Gladiators)

And then:

Nakita & Samurai
Reavers and Commandos
Archers & Ashra
Cowboy's and Samurai

Final Wave:
Scots & Sentinels
Knights & DeathStalkers
Greeks & Armocs
Monks & G-Nators

I ranked them in order of popularity. I had to move stuff around to get the B-trons and G-trons in the same pack, and to get the first wave with doubles.

Auralerogeny, just so you are aware, these were packaged together not for any theme, but to make sure that the entire HeroScape community didn't start sending the Hasbro staff death threats. Had these 3 Heroes and 1 Squad been packaged in any other combination with the four available options for that wave Greeks, Vipers, Soulborgs and Elves; I can honestly say many people here today may have left the HeroScape community altogether. The only reason the Lawmen and Samurai were packaged together is that they are Unique!

Just because you're offended, it doesn't make you right.

I, personally, don't want to see vehicles, seige weapons, boats, or pirates.

But I'd buy them if they made them. I think I have a sickness.
