Themed Armies

Basically, the point of this thread is to create two themed armies to go up against each other. Preferably the two teams should be the same amount of points, but if you think they are even at different points totals then that is fine.

I just played a very exciting game with my friend, the theme was Wolves vs Elves.

The two armies were:

Elves
Ulginesh
Chardris
Jordawn
Arkmer
Emirroon
WoA X1
Raelin
600 points

Wolves
Werewolf Lord X2
WoB X4
600 points

I was playing the Elves and I thought it was going to be a total blow out. I didn't think my Elves stood a chance, but the game was actually very close.

Mini Battle Report
My friend took a few engagement strikes (none of them hit) and got to Raelin right off the bat. BAM 4 wounds. But, his wolf was right in the middle of all my Elves and obviously next order marker he was in trouble. I actually ended up winning the game without Ulginesh, one order marker on Jordawn (4 special attack) rolled 4 skulls. KABOW 2 Wolves and the Werewolf lord gone. Yes, I know very lucky, but the game pretty much came down to that one roll (and initiative of course).

Long story short, it was a very fun game. The Werewolf actually prevents the Elves from turtling the whole game, once you infect with the first one the second one can turtle with Moon Frenzy, which actually makes it very interesting.


This is just one example of two themed going at it and it seemed fairly even. If you give this a try please let know how it went, because I am sure there are a lot of possibilites (come on, it's heroscape).

Any armies you have tried are welcome to be posted here. Next themed army(s) I try I will post them here and comment on how it went.
