It's stupid that Ana Karithon's Protection from Evil Aura won't do jack squat against all the new Valkrill demon and undead units that, by all estimates seem significantly more evil than anything Utgar has shown us.

So... do these guys get a bonus from Concan, and provide the bonus to Dupuis? I'm not sure. There's no hyphen, unlike with Brandis.
So, some army ideas. Now that Taelord is mobile, you could try using him with the Minions or other melee: 120 DKoV x2 180 Taelord 220 MoU x2 520, 11 hexes Wow, that adds up fast. Honestly, I'm not a fan of using these guys with Taelord. Taelord still... well, you know. I think the real beneficiary is the Dumutef Guard. 100 Dumutef Guard x4 180 DKoV x3 280, 14 hexes That's a pretty nice melee core. You can add whatever you like to it. Hmm, for Taelord I'm guess you'd typically not want the knights as the core, but just enough to keep him moving upward with the army. Very interesting squad idea though.

Love the Death Knights.
Gotta love the boost to Taelord and Khosumet! +1 attack from Taelord and lower their opponents defense by 2. The should be able to rip through low defense squaddies and hold their own against the stoutest of figures with their own 5 defense. I was thinking they should have flying given they are somewhat ghostlike, but I guess they are more like skeleton warriors. Either way, they'd be way undercosted with flying at 60 pts. Nice job, design team. Seeing post by RickyDD ... I wonder if there could be a storyline development wherein Valkrill becomes a lieutenant of Utgar and thus the rules could specify that all Valkrill units have the same weaknesses and other have same benefits against Valkrill as against Utgar units. Or we could get some specialists against Valrkill and new figures who have powers against both. It could also be the subject of a new rulebook in MS4 ... that would mean more 'Scape! |
