The Book of Odin's Challenge Scenario

Bah! 10 points is no big deal. Run it, and no one should mind. These games are not so much decided on the points and powers as much as politics and alliances that form and break.

So I held a game day at my house today and this really worked very well as an introduction to the game. I had 2 new players to Heroscape and 1 new player to C3G so having us all around the same table was pretty nice for game based questions and answers. Keeping the armies to just 2 unique heros was an effective way to introduce most of the mechanics without over loading anyone with info.

It was also just flat out a lot of fun. Odin's Decision kept a few players in the game long after they should have been gone and the crowd finally overrode Odin's Decision to kill off a figure that Odin just would not let die. (Hint: Donate to Odin's Temple) Fittingly, Thor won the tourney too. I have a pic of the game board set up I'll post a little later. It really looks cool with the crown all filled in.

That sounds really cool. I really would love to try this out ... but I have no friends where I live that play Heroscape.

Great stuff there Yoda. The couple of times that I have played this scenario at my game store, rank in my top 5 moments of Heroscape.

Yup! They had to come by and size up any potential adversaries.
