Darrak also has a bonding squad...

As far as Elusive goes, you could limit it to adjacent attacks or better yet, ranged. That's a way of nerfing it without lowering his defense...

Or you could replace Elusive with Phantom walk. Seems like he should be able to escape once he steals a glyph (rather than staying engaged to the figure he stole it from)...I think this would be wise since most heroes he steals from are going to be beffier than he is. It would kinda be suicidal to engage Sgt Drake or Mimring or Cyprien etc. etc...

I forgot about the Axegrinders, so Aladdin is much weaker than Darrak.

Anyway I like the idea of replacing elusive with phantom walk. It doesn't make much sense for him to sneak up and steal a glyph only to be killed immediately by the guy he stole it from.

I agree, he does need phantom walk or at least disengage.

Sorry for taking so long to chime in; I just got home from church.

I think Phantom Walk in place of Evasive is a good idea. I originally went with evasive so he would have a better chance of gaining adjacency in order to "steal" a glyph. While Phantom Walk goes in a different direction I think it is still a very good fit thematically.

Let me know what I need to do.

Kaiyu's wording fixes and replace evasion with phantom walk. I still think balance is good. Just do those changes and I'm ready to pass it.

OK...
I implemented kaiyu's wording changes; I replaced Evasive with phantom Walk; enlarged ability name and text; enlarged hit zone; enlarged left box text (it was already bolded); and centered his name.

I left his defense at 3 since we dropped Evasive.

I'm not sure he's 50 points now though. Maybe closer to 40?

Shiori is 60 but has concentrated will (often 4 attack, 4 defense) and a ranged special attack.

True, but she can't disarm traps and steal treasure glyphs from people. Remember, you can't compare a standup fighter to a different type of character like Raelin. I agree his raw fighting stats aren't as good as Shiori's but the question is: do his other abilities make sense with his point cost? I'm not sure. I think it would be good to discuss. I can't look at it too closely atm, though.

I like the changes, though, LC!

I could be wrong, but I don't see those treasure abilities to be all that powerful or game changing. As I see, those powers add maybe 5 points to the card's points. They hardly will come into play, the steal is a hard roll, and even if you do manage to steal the glyph the treasure glyphs aren't super powerful.

The more I think about it, you're right Kaiyu. 16 is a pretty high roll. What if it drops to 14 or even 12? That might be a good change. That would make him a little more of a threat to a glyph-holder.

Alladin's role, as I see it, is to basically be a distraction to the player controlling the figure with the treasure glyph. They have to be careful when moving the glyph-holder not to place it within range of Alladin. He can also draw fire a little bit if the other player considers him a threat. But he falls pretty quickly if targetted so he buys you maybe a round...

He's kind of like a mind-shackler only to a lesser extent...

At 20 he'd be decent. He doesn't have Marcu's movement abilities or attack potential, but a little more staying power...Maybe 30 (with the roll changed to a 12 or higher). That's Eldgrim's price. Similar stats and Eldgrim can overextend and boost a unique's move once he's dead....

30 sounds good at that he is a good filler unit in a dungeon crawl he can distract the glyph holder better with a lower goal. By changing his points and lowering roll all we are doing is making this niche unit more nichie. after changes.
