I think that this happened already. This is the reason that I'm a sidekick. I was slacking off and it didn't take long for you guys to pick up on it.

This is why I find it hard to contribute more time... It takes too long to catch up on you guys when you are back & forth like this.

Don't you guys have some playtesting to do??? (sorry had to slip that in)

I have tried playtesting a couple of times & honestly I still don't get it. This is my personal problem with playtesting, one which someday I will overcome but to me it's just another game with a new character. I just don't have the play time experience to add any real benefit to playtesting. I do understand that at the moment this is where you need all the help, so I am sorry for that. I too have the wife issue & have to set up the map to play then tear it down afterwards. But one other thing at the moment it's the X-men & am not totally into the X-men so my interest here has wained due to that also. I will keep doing the backgrounds, figure cropping & targeting icons regardless.

My plan is to get more experience at playtesting so that one day I can contribute in this manner but I think at the moment anything I submitted wouldn't be worth the text it's typed with.

But I do love being part of this group in any small way I can.

The beauty of requiring three playtests each time is it lets newbs learn on the job.

This is a good point. Part of the a la carte process was supposed to be that you worked on whatever you wanted, which meant that if you submitted something that nobody was interested in and therefore didn't want to playtest, well...too bad for you. The whole idea of requiring playtesting seems to go against this very idea.

Dang-it! You are right! As much as I would like to see us all contribute and be equally productive, requiring playtesting is sorta in the face of Ala Cart, for instance, no one is going to force me to playtest something in Ala Cart. But that doesn't mean that I don't think that some of us need (or needed) to kick it in gear. Which reminds me, thanks to all for the playtesting overnight, I like to think that the controversy in this thread lit a fire under some butts.

Now that everyone is all lovey dovey again (not that we weren't the whole time, but you get the point), what did you think of the story? I mean Whitestuff wearing panties, GO and Griff sharing a moment, Hahma finally getting in on the pain... that was good stuff, I thought. Have I lost it or something? Or do I need to do something torturous to the Bat every time to get you guys smiling again?

I am sure it would have been funnier to me if I wasn't so irritated by people not wanting to commit to playtesting. But it was funny.

Not in my book. I think you're a sidekick because you prefer that due to the time difference and time commitment needed. If you don't prefer that, however, you can be a Hero again.

It was great! Though I think you need to write a sequel where I kick Griffin off my lap. What was that about?!
