• A figure with the Insane personality is immune to and, if it is a Unique Hero, can be equipped with the Glyph of Smilex. Current Insane figures include: Arkham Inmates, Carnage, Creeper, Deadpool, Firefly, Floronic Man, Green Goblin, Harley Quinn, Hugo Strange, Joker, Joker (II), Mad Hatter, Mister Zsasz, Poison Ivy, Ragdoll, Scarecrow, Scorpion.

Question, if... I don't know, Harley Quinn has the glyph and moves into engagement with someone else, do I still roll for that figure? My intention is no because it says "if a figure moves into engagement with the figure equipped with the glyph" inferring that the figure has to be the one moving in order to be affected. If that is the case, you do not need "your turn immediately ends" in the 17-20 roll because if your figure dies your turn is over. Just wanted to clarify.

It works just like engagement strike for the moving into engagement bit, so, yes you're reading that correctly. The affected figure would be moving into engagement with Harley, not vice versa.
That said, the affected figure could be a squad figure or otherwise part of multiple activations, so the turn ending still qualifies.

Point value for a glyph? Now you're talking crazy!

It really depends on the army. I mean in the hands of a Unique Hero army that are all or mostly "Insane", it could be worth quite a bit, but in the hands of an army that has no "Insane" figures, it is worth negative points, because they couldn't use it at all. Be sure read that last line in the special power text.

Here's the situation...

Next Saturday, I am hosting my Second Annual HEX ADDICTS HEROSCAPE TOURNAMENT [!]. The teams have a strict 665 Point maximum.

My wife [Yup, I got married... on 11/11/11!] is basing her team around the theme of ARKHAM INMATES. So, she has:
C3G Joker - 190
C3G Harley - 130
C3G Ivy - 165
C3G Hatter - 90
SD's Scarecrow - 70
bringing her total to 645, giving her 20 points to spare!

I want to give her Smilex because it fits so well with the theme, I just want to make sure it's at a fair cost. Obviously, with an 'ALL INSANE' team like the one listed above [and yes, Sherman's Scarecrow is also Insane], it is a big advantage. My other option was to replace Scarecrow with SD's Arkham Inmates, a 50 Point Common Squad, giving her a 40 Point balance. Now I'm doubting that even 40 points is enough to justify the Smilex!

FYI, last year's winning team, the 665 Point Superman & The 4th Mass [C3G Supes and 3.75 Squads / 15 figures of the 4th] is back this year and looking to retain the title of HEX ADDICTS CHAMPIONS!

Other teams include my own C3G Darkseid / NM24 Mxy team, Thor & The Vikings [NM24 Thor by MH and myself with all of the Official Vikings], C3G Batman & and Official Goblins plus a WWII-themed team featuring Official Cap & C3G Namor.

Competition will be fierce!
