Re: Marvel vs. Vipers

But Venom and Spider-man have their sense to factor in. If you have good d20 luck you could block every thing. I personally think that Spidey and Venom are way under-priced. Also Dr. Doom and Red Skulls (i think) specials would be worthless against an army with no heros. All in all I still give it to Marvel

Re: Marvel vs. Vipers

Thanos wouldn't be too hard to take out last. He only gets one attack per turn, so he's one of the least of your troubles.

Hulk, Abom, Cap, and possibly Iron Man are the only ones to worry about.

Although anything is possible when you roll poor defense dice.

Re: Marvel vs. Vipers

Cap is definitely the biggest threat with Shield Throw AND Counter Strike (I hate Cap ). I think sheer numbers (almost 20 to 1) would do the trick here, though.

Re: Marvel vs. Vipers

To have a start zone for all those vipers the map should be huge in size. If the start zone is larger then the map then the Heros would be in trouble. As long as the map is large with lots of places to go, I think the trick of it for the Marvel side would be to continuely keep moving away from the closest Vipers and attacking with ranged attacks. If you can keep on killing the ones closest to you from maximum range, then you can limit the number of attacks the Viper player can get in. If you try wading into the middle of the viper horde, then you are doomed to eventually whiff on some defense rolls. Once you have run all around the map with Cap or Ironman and spread the vipers out some, then you can leap in with the Hulk and try to take out small wayward groups of Vipers with him before leaping to saftey. Also flying or web swinging up to maximum height, making a stand for a while and then flying away to some new high ground a ways away will slow the Vipers down and minimize their attacks. Lots of hit and run, fall back to regroup moves for the Heros IMO.

I suppose I could stab it. Would stabbing it help? - Drax the Destroyer

If it's a small map...the heroes are screwed though.

Ah, Marvel by a long shot. With the vipors defense stats... Vipors ain't got a chance, but of course the map does play a roll.

Re: Marvel vs. Vipers

The map would be a major factor in deciding the outcome but I have to believe that Marvel has a decent shot at winning this based on each side only getting three order markers and vipers not having any range.
