DND my 2 cents

I'm tired of reading posts coming down on DnD or hearing people say they will just ignore it or some such other nonsence.

Honestly some of you are getting way to worked up about this. Think about heroscape for minute. Heroscape has many elements that can translate very well to DND, some of the themes, Orcs, Dragons, Zombies, Vampires, Knights, Elves(and Wizard Elves), Dwarves, Dragons, Large spiders, Granite Gardians(very elemental like), Hairy beasts with clubs and Dragons (and I'm sure there are many more I didn't mention) these are themes that are the making of DND and yet you have no problem with them being "classic scape". So why do you have a problem with the new DnD set and the upcoming waves.

The truth is DnD has many things going for it thematically that we've aready seen over and over in heroscape. Think of the possiblities these new waves bring. Hmmm did someone say dragons? Or maybe Elementals? More elves? Is there no place for these among classic scape? If you think so maybe you should go through you scape and throw half of it away. No wait you can give it away, I'll gladly take it.

As far as secinerio play goes many of us here have been doing very similar things with our scape all along. Having a master set geared around that, I say GREAT! If you don't like secinerio play thats fine, but i'm sure some of the new figures will make nice additions to your tournament tables.

My final thought: If this new set didn't have DND printed on the cover and had 1 robot inside aswell would there be any fuss? I'm sorry I just can't see how this new set is that different form the heroscape we all love.

Amen, brother. I can't tell you how many "Waaa! I can't believe they re-used sculpts from another game! Waaa!" I've heard.

If nobody knew, nobody would notice/have much to complain about.

Re: DND my 2 cents

I've never had a problem with D & D Heroscape. Heroscape obviously has origins from Heroquest which was more or less a simplified version of D & D so it only seems natural that you take advantage of Heroscape's easy to learn rules and apply dungeon crawling scenarios to it.

The way I see it, they are more or less optional. It's nice that the dungeon crawling is there and you get a little more bang for your buck if you decide to mess around with them.

Re: DND my 2 cents

Could you imagine if this set had more marro in it!

Lots of people would be "ACK More Marro, we have too much marro already, whaaaa!"

I remember this complaing from Wave 9.

Three cheers for gross-oversimplification of opposing views!

Hip-hip...never mind.

I honestly don't know who is worse, the people who are still complaining about D&D 'scape or the people who are still complaining about the people complaining about D&D 'scape.

Begone with you.

This is the internet, we have no room for common sense, and generally logical though processes.

I think it's the people who are complaining about the people who are complaining about the people who are complaining about D&D 'scape.

Or maybe it's me.
