I like him.
Maybe his grenade launcher ability needs tom be renamed to Mortar. 4 dice is a lot! I was about to say he was a hair overpriced.... but then I realized his camo works on grass as well! He is a 1 man mortar squad! very cool. if it was me, and its not, I might consider snipping his katana into a combat knife and dropping his attack by one. I think that would seperate him from Drake a little more, and make him fit his price. Like drake, he is weak against melee squads... except if they bunch he can blow them a new one. |

I like seeing the repaints of MS figures (not all of us have easy access to MK or other figures).
The grenade launcher does seem a bit strong - maybe three dice instead of 4. I agree with CornPuff on the katana - cut it shorter to turn it into a combat knife -- check out my repaints (link in signature at bottom of post) I also have done a Sgt Drake repaint and turned the katana into a combat knife (I turned the grappling gun into a machine gun). I did a google search on the name "sgt Troy Jackson" and didn't get any hits -- is the name based on a "real" soldier? |

I wasn't suggesting a decrease in his special attack... I like it. Moving it down to 3 dice makes it more like a shotgun blast or something. 4 dice is something that really identifies this character, and I think it still works out with the current point total.

Sgt Troy Jackson was a character of mine from the RPG Twilight 2000 (post-nuclear warfare). There is no real-life significance to the name.
I want to keep the grenade launcher at 4 dice. I could see making it a limited use like the AE's grenades (2 or 3 grenade markers to use for the battle). And I was going for the machete look. Jungle machette is ok.
The limit on grenade launcher is probably a good idea -- either limit to total number used or maybe limit once per round. Would have to test in game to see which works better -- probably limit the total is easier (similar to Morsbane's negation markers). |

idunno about the limit. I think limits overcomplicate things, and I don't see the launcher as being a balance issue.
My only beef is that I don't see a machete as a 5 die attack... maybe knock it down to 4 and then he'll be a grenade launching machine, only using the machete as to not explode himself. Lob 30 makes this guy a mean siege weapon |

I agree with lowering the attack from 5 to 4. My main concern comes from the lob of 30. Personally, I think a grenade launcher should be a los weapon. Other than that I like the character and plan on making him. I also like and plan on making the version with the machine gun attack.
