The Sacrifice - Scenario in progress

Im working on ideas for my 3 part mini campaign titled The Sacrifice in which the heroes stumble upon a village that has literally just been attacked by a drow raiding party who have taken prisoners, notably an elven maiden and two male elf suitors.
The heroes must rescue the three prisoners before they are sacrificed, given they have a time limit.

PART 1 - RAIDERS

Set as an overland map with ruins one side, a cave enterance the other and trees scattered inbetween. The heroes encounter the rearguard of the raiding party.

The Raiding party consists of
Drow Warriors
Blade Gruts
Arrow Gruts

PART 2 - WINDING TUNNELS

An underground lake gives way to winding tunnels divided by rock formations, the tunnels themselves are home to vicious spiders and the spider sentinel.

Three Treasure Glyphs represent a Drow Warrior acting as a scout who is placed adjacent to figure and activates immediately.
Two other treasure glyphs represent webbed Villagers (male elven suitors)whom are rescued once found.
The other glyphs represent Traps or abandoned equipment.

The huge Spider Sentinel acts as a watchdog in the tunnels, guarding the passage to the hidden drow camp.

PART 3 - THE SACRIFICE

The heroes have found the camp and now fight a fierce battle with the drow and their leader.

The Leader starts ontop of the glyph representing the Elven Maiden, if he ends his turn ontop of the Glyph when the sacrifice is to occur the Maiden is sacrificed and all that is left for the heroes is revenge.

The Drow Warriors in this scenario individually respawn when killed, being placed at an edge of the map not within 4 hexes of a hero if possible.

The heroes goal here is to rescue the maiden and exit the map with her, or failing that, to defeat Pelloth and exit the map.

------------------------------------------------------------

Thats the outline for my Mini-Campaign, im working on other ideas for Glyphs to make the game interesting.

As for a time limit, im thinking about just timing how many turns it takes the Heroes to complete the first and 2nd maps, and that giving a number of turns each to the final map.
For example, if they complete the first map in 1-6 turns, they have 4 turns until sacrifice once on final map, 7-12 turns they get 3 etc.
Do that for both maps (The second being a longer map and requiring more time) to work out what turn the Maiden is sacrificed on the final map.

Re: The Sacrifice - Scenario in progress

pretty good, pretty good. My favorite idea is the spider sentinel.

Re: The Sacrifice - Scenario in progress

One idea I really want to make happen in my scenarios (will modify The Sacrifice to adjust) is that I want to take a Descent: Journeys in the Dark approach to them, instead of a typical D&D game.

For those who havent played Descent, its a competitive game between the DM and the heroes, balanced out (apparently hehe) where both players and DM are trying to win. As opposed to the DM storytelling the game to the players - Im not sure how the current D&Dscape intends to play, but scenarios can include rulings to help achieve this.

Going off on a brainstorm here, maybe for the first part of The Sacrifice, the rearguard raiders are looking to gain more spoils / slaves etc. So we have some glyphs set up for the defender representing spoils which they are trying to plunder, while the heroes are trying to defeat them as quickly as possible and give pursuit for the Maiden.
