• SPECIAL RULE (EVENT HEROES):

Are there any Heroscape lexan mats available to purchase in some discreet corner of the internet, or has the supply dried up? If there are no longer any "official" Heroscape mats left I am thinking that the hex mats from this distributor would suffice nicely.

Hey I am so glad that you have created this place foe people to ask anything about heroscape. So i have a quick question. Since i am new to this whole i dont really know how to do it, I am learning though. What software do i need to read a .hsc file? Because my computer cant read it.

Do you know about the virtualscape? Well i created a map on there and i just wanted to be able to play it. The virtualscape was a zip folder download so i was able to read it. But the maps it creates are in a .hsc file format. SO i dont know how to be able to convert it into something else or what software i need to be able to read that kind of file.

If you have virtualscape installed and working, then all you need to do with the .hsc file is right click->open as, and browse the list of programs. Find virtualscape and open it with that. Virtualscape should launch and have the map loaded. You can then either view it in the 3D render, modify it, or print it.

You can also click the "Open" button in virtualscape and browse for the .hsc file.

If you want to print instructions, just go to the "Print" button and it will print out level-by-level blueprints.

Also, in case it wasn't clear, VirtualScape does not have any gameplay capability built into it, so you would not be able to play a game of HeroScape using it.

I use GIMP. I would try this tutorial. If it doesn't make sense then PM the guy who made it. He also happens to be my brother.
