Guardians vs. Hunters

I've got a few problems with this poll:

1. The font is riduculos man. That's not how to attract attention. (At least positively.) The same goes to the smilies

2. The cards of just been shown, too. Theoryscaping is too early to test out. Most people have not had time to even proxy. I wouldn't have even done a Unit Debate on these fellows yet 'til a week or two after thier release.

3. Thier are two threads devoted to army builds already, LordE. So this won't seem a good timing for that.

MegaSilver, a little annoyed but . (For those reasons I will NOT vote now.)

I don't really know. I wasn't excited about either, though after seeing the cards, I am more interested in the QH. However, if there truly is a shortage of Wave 10, I won't wind up with either.

I think they're both great units but in Heroscape, better is a subjective term. Don't worry too much about what others consider better, instead, focus on which units you enjoy playing the most.

To avoid getting bit by any more red OM's, I'd recommend shrinking the font in the original post, LordE. If you click on the pink "EDIT" button in the lower right corner of the post, then click "Go Advanced" when the new format pops up, you get a tool bar along the top of the post that will allow you to change the font size.

Back OT, and with the warning that this opinion is based off less than 2 days of Theoryscape, I think that both squads will be fairly equal in general matches, but each have areas of expertise where one will clearly dominate. On a map with lots of height the Granite Guardians look better, and against a 'Tron army the Quasatch's look better. As far as armies go, check out Granite Guardians - What's your army idea? and Quasatch Hunters - What's your army idea? for some build ideas.

It depends on your starting zone. If you start in a forest/jungle place, Quasatch hunters are better. If you are on a high place, Granite Guardians will own.

Granite Guardians. They are powerhouses and although their movement is suspect, it can be easily boosted by the very common movement glyph in maps or the warden. That extra movement at the end is awesome especially when you consider you can move the WHOLE army. Their range is not much in the best of times, but it's a nice perk. Here are some armies at 500pts:
