Phippo's Custom Units
Hi there, I'm Phippo I've been an avid scaper and reader of these threads for the last 3 years or so but have only started posting this summer during the anticipation of Wave 9.
I've always been a little wary of unofficial units, but what with the slowdown in classic releases recently (we're not exactly getting 3 waves a year anymore) I decided to give unit-making a shot. So far I have been designing new units in waves more or less for the fun of it, here is the first wave and two squads from it (i'll try to update on a daily basis, so far I have three waves designed): Wave 11 (classic) Borgs and Bowmen 3 Soulborg Cats ![]() 4 English Longbowmen ![]() Skeletons 3 Skeleton Cavalry ![]() 3 Skeleton Archers ![]() Elves and Kyrie 3 Warriors of the Moon Tribe ![]() 2 Elven Guards ![]() Hero Pack 9th Elf Wizard ![]() Aquilla Kyrie Hero ![]() Demonblade ![]() Lady Durnipia ![]() Yeoman Hero ![]() Soulborg Cats ![]() Life-1 Tricky Move-7 Soulborg Range-1 Cats Attack-3 Medium 4 Defense-4 Pounce Agility- Soulborg Cats do not take falling damage from heights of 15 or less Phantom Walk English Longbowmen ![]() Life-1 Valiant Move-5 Human Range-8 Archers Attack-2 Medium 5 Defense-2 Take Aim Sp. Attack- Ran. 5 Att. 3- If an english longbowman inflicts a wound the defending figure rolls 1 less attack die against all remaining attacks by longbowmen this turn (max. of -1) Update: 10/19/09 Skeleton Cavalry ![]() Life-1 Move-7 Mindless Range-1 Undead Attack-4 Warriors Defense-3 Large 6 Vampire Lord Bonding- Before tking a turn with skeleton cavalry you may first take a turn with any vampire lord you control Strength of Undeath 16- if a member of skeleton cavalry would recieve enough wounds to be destroyed roll the 20-sided die, if you roll a 16 or higher ignore all wounds Skeleton Archers ![]() Life-1 Move-4 Mindless Range-6 Undead Attack-2 Archers Defense-2 Medium 4 Strength of Undeath 16- if a skeleton archer would recieve enough wounds to be destroyed roll the 20-sided die if you roll a 16 or higher ignore all wounds. Update: 10/20/09 Warriors of the Moon Tribe ![]() Life-1 Move-5 Fearsome Range-1 Kyrie Attack-4 Warriors Defense-3 Medium 6 Stealth Flying Kyrie Hero Movement Bonding- Before taking a turn with Warriors of the Moon Tribe you may first move any kyrie hero you control up to 5 spaces Elven Guards ![]() Life-1 Move-5 Disciplined Range-1 Elf Attack-3 Guards Defense-3 Medium 4 Double Attack Adjacent Tough- when rolling defense dice against an adjacent attacking figure add 1 automatic shield to whatever is rolled Elf Wizard Defensive Bonding- at the start of the game choose an elf wizard you control, before taking a turn with elven guards you may first take a turn with the chosen elf wizard, elven guards roll an aditional defense die when they are adjacent to the chosen elf wizard I haven't decided on point values yet since I haven't had a chance to play test (most of my scape collection is back home while I'm away at college) Feedback is appreciated and if you'd like to play test the units yourself all the better Last edited by PHippo : October 20th, 2009 at 03:56 PM. Interesting, I'm curioust see what you'll come up with for the rest. Methinks you should bring some Vydar units into the mix, though.

Added the skeletons to the first post, just some notes on these guys: I based my design for the skeletons off of Cypriens bio and what I thought should characterize an undead army -that is- it's unwillingness to die hence the strength of undeath ability also gave the cavalry bonding wth Cyprien (and only Cyprien) I originally toyed around with the idea of vampire hero bonding but realized that a potential turn of Iskra+Rechets+Cavalry would be more than most armies could handle.
