HELP: In need of a 4 player map

Heroscape family,
I need your help. I'm sure they are around these forums (somewhere), but I am pressed for time (and it's tough with a 27 lb. 6 month old son).

Here's my dilemma:
I am hosting a game tomorrow at 2PM for three newcomers. They are quite excited, but I'm concerned about "overwhelming" them. The first impression is essential if I want to convert them into 'Scapers, so I'm a little more concerned for tomorrow's map than usual. Guess I'm suffering from cartographers block.

Anyway, I really need your help. Especially from you veterans.

We are playing on a 51 1/2" sq pub table.
I'm thinking a simple layout here, but in case you care to know:
I own 7 RotV master sets, 1 SotM master set, 3 TJ, 2 TT, 2 VW, 4 FotA, 2 RttFF, and one Marvel set.
I really want them to enjoy the game while easing their understanding of the game and rules. Any suggestions and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
TexHex

Re: HELP: In need of a 4 player map

I have a map I have played on and converted to VirtualScape but it is team based (2 teams of 2). Is that what you are looking for, or do you need a free for all map?

It uses a bunch of different terrain and looks really cool, really shows off Heroscape, but that means a lot of rules come into play (like road, etc.), and, like I said, its built for 2v2. Just reply if you are interested.

I suggest Sealocked.

It doesn't use any special rules, and you can pretty much ignore roads. A great start map for 4 players.

And being on teams makes it easier to come up with strategies, when both players don't understand the rules well.

Thanks Alpha,
These guys want a free for all (although I tried to encourage teams). Might use it in a future event though so please hook me up.
Thanks.

Re: HELP: In need of a 4 player map

Here you are. I haven't found motivation to download a PDF printer yet, so you instead get a large image I pieced together using print screen and photoshop and a picture of the map.

Spoiler Alert!

It uses 1 RotV, 1 SotM, 1 RttFF, 1 VW. I don't own a lot of terrain, so I made the most of what I had. It may not be 100% balanced, but its more than good enough for a casual game. And obviously you can easily edit it, add some more hills or elevation where you feel necessary.

How about a good first impression?
Impressive!
How many times have you tried it?
Better yet, how "playable" is it?

I have no clue. I'm jealous of your collection.

Hard to NOT be jealous of a collection like that, that is a MESS of terrain you have yourself.
