As I start to think about this, I don't think that Tul-Bak-Ra will work well with Kelda. His attack isn't that powerful and he may be a figure (like Finn and Thorgrim) who you want to kill last (or at least after the Marro squads are gone).

TBR will be great at teleporting behind enemy lines and taking out a hero or two. He'll be deadly to "cheerleading" and activation type units like Raelin, Laglor, Taelord, Ulginesh, Kato, Ornak, Parmenio, Marcus Decimus Gallus, Sir Gilbert, ... If TBR isn't able to kill them directly (and he's attacked), he'll bring in squads that likely will.

If the army facing TBR doesn't have a "cheerleading" and activation type unit, TBR probably won't be that strong. TBR has a single attack of 4 (or 3 special). If TBR teleports behind my enemy lines, I'll probably let him sit there and attack as opposed to letting Marro squads teleport behind enemy lines. I'd much rather have TBR's attack as opposed to a squads of Stingers, Drones or Dividers.

As a result of this, good counters for TBR will be those that can instantly kill (such as Braxas and Grimnak) so that TBR can't teleport Marro squads.

My idea that I am definitely trying after my Natives & Vipers army;

Tul-Bak-Ra (130)
Marro Dividers X 3 (280)
Kelda the Kyrie Warrior (360)
Ne-Gok-Sa (450)
Marro Warriors (500)

Marro Warriors are ranged, Tul-Bak-Ra and the Dividers swarm enemy positions, while TBR teleports periodically back to Kelda for a quick heal, and Ne-Gok-Sa tanks and attempts to mindshackle.


Posts by me are rare occasions. I mostly hang around other places these days, but I come here every once in a while.

Tul-Bak-Ra is an extremely good glyph grabber to me. Have him grab your glyph and go from there. He can also be a blocker for units that may danger the Stingers like Zelrig, and he can always help your units spread and move out too. (Isamu makes it all Utgar for General Wars )
This might be basic, but it makes a great 500 point army. TBR makes a great assassin (Raelin will be hard to keep alive). When wounded, TBR can bring in reinforcements behind enemy lines. The Stingers can take care of most figures.

Another possibility is...
Tul-Bak-Ra 130
Dividers x 4 200
Su-Bak-Na 160
Isamu 10
Total 500
The reasoning behind this army is that you use TBK to teleport behind enemy lines. As he starts to take hits, teleport in the Dividers (Drones might be better). At this point, the Dividers or Drones can fight melee against the other team. SBN is cleanup and cheerleader.
I was thinking the same thing but have x3 dividers and 2x nagrubs and scratch isamu. This might be too little dividers to make them useful but I would still try it, if not for sure for a 600 point army of 2 more divider squads. Besides, the opponent would be gunning for SBN and he needs all the help he can get staying wise

I don't have an army idea but I was planning on using him to attack castles, he could sit under the castle and attack all of the weak range people up there and then teleport through the castle....wait, can he move through objects with his teleport? Cause if he could that would make him the ultimate castle assault.

Yes, he can teleport behind the castle. Since the power only say to place him on a space, and not to move him, he can pass through objects like castle walls.

How about TBR with the Marro Warriors or the Hive? When you send TBR into enemy territory, you know he's gonna die. The couple squad figures you get back there out of the deal will also die. That makes Dividers ideal, but I would think the Warriors or Stingers that can be regenerated would be good too. Maybe, for higher point games....

Tul-Bak-Ra - 130
Hive - 290
Drudge x2 - 390
Drones x3 - 540...

Never mind - I just can't a TBR - Hive army to come out right.

Just load up TBR with Dividers and maybe SBN or Raelin and go at it.

I forget the argument from the past, but can you choose not to roll defense dice if you have a situation where you want to take a wound and teleport someone?

Man! i STILL cant get over that powerhouse. I mean come on. just the IDEA of a marro overlord with teleportation! W00T!!!! I'm thinkin' maybe the drudge will finally see glory. Perhaps Su-Bak-Na and Nagrubs would be useful with Tul-Bak-Ra. Then of course the dividers...
