Height Advantage?
Okay, i just just read the master game guide. Does height advantage ever exceed plus 2 dice? I have always though that you get an additional die for every 10 levels you exceed the lower figure, but the rules don't mention anything like that. it just say 10+ levels above the lower figure's height (i e lower fig has 5 heingt. higher fig has to be on level 15+) to get 2, but if they were up 20 levels above said height, they'd get +3

OK, I've got a question about height advantage I was going to post (if I couldn't find an existing thread for it), but since this one's here, I think I'll just piggy-back it on...


I had always thought that only the attacker got a +1 for height advantage. All my friends read the MS rules that way and that's how we've played.
While reading the castle rules about ladders, I noticed it said something about getting a height advantacge for defense. Is this just for ladders, or have we been playing wrong all along?

Does a figure with height advantage get +1 defense?¿?

Do you get +2 defence if your 10 or more levels higher? I don't recall.

Grr...so height advantage does not accumulate? Its only +1 or +2???
I understood it as accumulative...+1 for height, then +1 for every 10 levels hight (42 levels high would give you +5 dice). Im guessing that we have been playing wrong as well?

It is +1 for being on a higher level or +2 for being 10 or more levels higher than the lower figures height. This bonus does not accumulate (no +3 for being higher and 10 levels higher than the lower figures height.)

You can always house rule it that way, though, so long as you recognize you're not using the official rules.
