toddrew and ninjo's castles

Above is an as yet unnamed castle made using 3 castle sets and various tiles from 5 RttFF. A virtualscape file has been made, but I haven't taken the time to figure out how to post those here easily. Feel free to pm me if you're interested in the map to construct the castle.

This is our first effort at a stand alone castle and has some flaws (tight spaces, hard to access areas, etc.), so hopefully some improvement will take place

that's one great castle. i love the bridge that goes through it. but is it difficult to move the figures around on the inside? anyway, very cool..

maybe next time we play you'll have to build the map!

nice work, man.

Yeah I like your design a lot Toddrew! But I was wondering how do you manage to open the doors?

I have to suspend Jo upside-down by his ankles over the top of the board as he slides his tiny 8 year-old arms through the six-hex opening at the top. yeah, it's a problem.

I was joking about getting some of those extendo wire claws that are used for holding nuts and bolts while assembling cpu towers, but maybe it's no joke...

I'm building the board around the castle right now, though I don't think the 5 MS, 2 TT, 2 VW, remainder of the 5 RttFF are going to go as far as I'd like - flat map here we come The idea for the scenario was one person holding the castle, two attempting to advance past the castle (not necessarily infiltrate it) to the riches of the wellspring beyond.

So far the castle is perched on a four-level base (which ate up about one MS worth of terrain!) and surrounded by a 2-hex wide moat. Behind the castle is the 2 TT worth of snow and ice with minor elevation variations and then the wellspring will be behind that. Still pondering what exactly the victory conditions will be. And then there's the whole foreground to figure out...
