I agree that it would be a good way to go, but I'm trying to keep things as simple as possible with this format.

--edit: How about 2 units based on the Lieutenant that can be brought out after him? I feel a bit bad for Zetacron and his ilk of not-so-fleshed-out groups (and slightly less bad for people with small HS stockpiles ). I don't think that would strain anyone's brain too badly.

I recommend using Battleplan to see what is possible. I've made over a dozen lists plotting out match by match adds. There aren't a ton of pool substitutions for each theme, but there are still lots of possibilities.

Remember too that everyone is playing under the same restrictions.

Just for a quick, odd example--

1 Runa, Deathreavers x2 200
2 Deathwalker 7K 300
3 Me-Burq-Sa 350
4 Minions 460
5 Minions 570
6 Taelord 750

Pooled extra rats, minions, etc.

I actually think this would strain my brain less. It's been really frustrating trying to fill out that last pick and realizing you can only take Taelord, Cyprien without Sonya, or something like that. Honestly I don't know if I'm having a harder time coming up with armies for this or trying to understand my quantum mechanics homework

Heh. OK, let's go with that. Two units is sufficient I hope? With Lieutenant drafted first?

I tried it out a bit and made two decent armies with Zetacron and the snipers. Another with Jotun as general which is quite a bit harder without that change. Looks like this will allow some better lists with monks and mixing vipers and elves too.

Each squad is counted as an individual unit. In the example I had, Runa and the two squads of rats count as three units. It gets a bit away from squadscape and pushes bigger cost units.

I forgot to add "planet" to the mix which was my intention for nagrubs and things of that nature. First post is fixed.

Just to be clear, once a unit is drafted for a match you are stuck with it for the entire tourney correct? Thus whoever you draft for your opening 250 game must also be included in your 300 point game in the next round. So if you fill up all 250 points on the first match, for the second match you must have the same 250 points plus up to 1 figure for 50 or less points.


On a side note, I notice the Einar has almost all humans and/or disiplinded figures.

Correct on both points. I find Einar probably the least fun to play around with, but they've got a lot of mix and match possibilities.

No responses so I'll take that as a no. No problem anyway. The double tundra map will be one of a few. I may be able to handle the majority of the maps this time.
