figure blocking adjacent hex

Okay I tentatively post this, after spending the last 45 minutes searching the forums and not finding the answer to the question, the closest I came was this thread Charos blocking a gateway - can you fly through?

In tight quarters if the only way for figure 1, flying or otherwise to occupy a hex adjacent to figure 2, is by moving or otherwise disrupting the placement of figure 2, can figure 1 occupy that space??

So in other words can figure parts such as wings, tails, guns, spears, whatever keep a hex from being occupied by another figure??

My guess is the space can be occupied as long as the offending part is not moved to do so but if you have to move something out of the way to fit your figure on that hex then the answer would be no.

Your "guess" would be correct: you can maneuver your guy as much as you want, and as long as you don't move the opponent's figure, then you can occupy that space.

On the other hand, if there is no way to maneuver your own guy to fit, then it is possible that an opponent's figure can keep your guy from occupying a space.

This thread might help...http://www.heroscapers.com/community...stinger+denial

Also most people will not be such an ass about it and will move their figure to allow yours to get in.

Example...watch Craig Van Ness at the 6:45 mark of this video playing against the 2006 GenCon Champion.

Re: figure blocking adjacent hex

Believe me there is another thread on this topic. I didn't think we would ever go back to it again.

I feel it is a legitimate tactical move.... however I found out I am in the minority.
