Got off on the wrong foot with this one. Even with Thanos at extreme height, my first attack on Zetacron did nothin'. Then Zetacron waltzes across the bridge, sees a bit of Sujoah's wings (unfortunately part of the hitzone), takes ONE shot with 3 dice (height adv). 3 for 3 skulls = 6 hits. I roll 4 dice and get no shields. Dead Sujoah. Guy's Capt America wiped out my spiders in two turns with the Shield Throw. And that's about how the rest of the game went. I eventully killed Zetacron and put two wounds on Capt America but that's it. Guy didn't even activate Venom (or Isamu). Game #9 Tried out the same Marvel/Classic army on the other Marvel map and lost again. Note to self, don't use Sujoah against Marvel characters. I did manage to destroy Abomination and SpiderMan. So it went a little better than Game #2. Game #13 My Silver Surfer did well. Took out Worldturtle's Dr. Doom quickly and did most of the wounding on his SpiderMan. I got his Hulk plenty mad. He tried taking out my not-so-mad Hulk but it backfired. My Hulk got mad too and destroyed his Hulk. And guess what ... my Airborne never dropped and missed out on the fun. Game #18 Just for fun, my brother and I tried out Classic-only on a Marvel map with 12 startzone spaces. I haven't done Sentinels vs. Minions in a long time. I'm even more convinced now -- the Minions are a bargain. 330 points of Sentinels can not take down 330 points of Minions. If only Minions had a defense of 4 or 5, instead of 6... 5 rats + Q9 = PITA for Glads/Blasts.
Can't See the Jungle is a cool map, thanks for the help testing it and all of your comments on it, everyone. |

One thing that was interesting; the Monk/Woo army went 4 games without a win. Although Clarissimus' second try using them in Game #19 was an extremely close game.

Game 16 was extremely close too actually. It came down to 2 Knights v. Woo with 1 life. It was basically the dice at that point.

In that case, Woo/Monks may not be so terrible.
Jeff lost with them twice, but he seemed kinda new to the game -- I think. |

The problem is Woo, not the Monks. Well, the Monks have trouble with certain armies, but Woo just doesn't do enough for the 140 points you spend.
