Wow, thanks!

Here is a Sasquatch, done in collaboration with Matt Helm:

And a Unique Hero version of the same figure, Bigfoot:

Also, Nessie is fixed per Necro's suggestion.

Re: Garada's Customs - 3/26 - Sasquatch / Bigfoot & Nessie

Excellent job as always. I wasn't thinking when I created the common hero with life of 5. I was planning on only ordering one piece so never thought about the problem with more than one.

I actually love the idea you proposed on the "commission" thread to print out both and have them on the flip side of each other. I think I'll use Bigfoot more often but the option is a great idea.

With Bigfoot increased to a Defense of 3 and generic Sasquatch reduced to life of 1, we may need to alter the cost on both. I would think that 1 Bigfoot should cost at least as much as 2 ordinary Sasquatch. Hopefully some veterans can help us here.

Hope you don't mind that I tried to get you some recognition over in the classic Heroscape custom forum. In my opinion, these Hellboy cards are good as crossovers.

Re: Garada's Customs - 3/26 - Sasquatch / Bigfoot & Nessie

Back to Hecate if I can. I think I mentioned this before, but I'm not sure. Well anyway, I was viewing Grey Owl's complete list of Species and Class that incorporates official scape and his creations. Now I know we don't have to comply exactly with his customs, but consistency in this custom world always works better.

In Grey Owl's system, both Deity and Queen are Classes, neither is a Species. This makes sense since Thor is an Asgardian, Hercules is an Olympian, etc. A Deity is more of a class than a species for this game.

So here's what I was thinking. Leave "Queen" as the class because it works great with the Brine Witches (who should be able to bond with any Queen and not any Deity") and consider changing Hecate's species to "Titan". I know it's a new class but according to my research, the most common Greek mythology legends have Hecate being the only Titan after the great war, that Zeus allowed to remain roaming free after the Olympian Gods took over. Therefore, I think "Titan" would be her true species. This would give her the same stauts as the original "Goddess" without conflicting Class and Species in the rest of the custom community.

What do you think?

On Nessie, we might want to consider making her size/height: HUGE 8. I got the piece today and she is comparable to Krug and Brunak (I gues an extended neck can get her that extra height but it might seem better at .

On Bigfoot, I wrote the following on my thread...
... do you think we need to change "bush" on Sasquatch/Bigfoot to "brush" to fit with the official terrain released thus far? I kind of wanted to incorporate all possible plant life as a hiding place and point of sneak attack for our mysterious monster and therefore went with the general term "bush". It leaves it open for those custom terrain creators who make their own bushes. But now I'm afraid that it might leave debate over "brush". Am I over thinking this? Does it need to be "tree, bush, or brush"?

Of course I don't mind... the more people that look and hopefully give feedback the better! I do try to keep the Hellboy customs having a nice level of compatibility with Classic Scape anyway.

On Hecate, I'm OK with leaving her as a Deity if you are... all of my DC Universe RPG books [from the old West End Games series] list certain characters [such as Eclipso] as 'Deity' for their race, since they are one-of-a-kind and god-like. I don't really mind changing it though, I'm just not sure I'm sold on Titan... that sounds like more of an occupation to me! Let me sleep on it.

For Nessie, I also just got the mini in the mail yesterday, how funny. She is a bit smaller than I expected, but with neck extended she would be around 8 or 9. I'll change her to 8 though, it does sound a bit better.

Bigfoot - changed to brush. Anytime I can get closer to official scape wording, I do so! Anyway, if someone makes a custom bush, it would basically be considered brush anyway, right? Also, change Bigfoot's cost to 90 to be double the common Sasquatches 45, as per your suggestion.

Check out the up-to-date Index of my HELLBOY for HEROSCAPE custom Army Cards to see it all!

Re: Garada's Customs 3/27 - Rel-Warc-Thorn [Demon for Hell

I'm good with all three. Hecate as a Diety, Nessie at a size of 8, Bigfoot with "brush" wording and cost.

Excellent edits. Check out my suggestions on Rel-Warc-Thorn in my thread. Good choice of color combo by the way.

By the way. I forgot to order some giant centipedes. I guess I'll need three to maximize fun. Are you going to change the logo from DC to Hellboy? What about the Mummy... also a Hellboy?

Not a big deal really, just wondering.

Species / Occupation / Personality

I'd like to see GreyOwl's list, do you have the link handy?

It's funny too, because I basically compiled the same sort of thing for the NARRATOR'S GUIDE portion of the 'DC Universe Roleplaying Game' I'm doing. I went through all of my official Heroscape cards and then went through all of my DC Universe books [from both West End Games and the even older Mayfair RPG]. I have also included several entries that are 'pop-culture staples', since I allow a wide range of characters from all genres in the DCU RPG. Also on the list are inclusions from the Hellboy Sourcebook and various people's customs, especially Sherman Davies and GreyOwl. I'm not nearly finished with it yet, and eventually the entire NARRATOR'S GUIDE will be up for all to see in PDF format [along with the PLAYER'S GUIDE, which contains all the rules of the game]. Please help me fill in any glaring omissions. Also, I included notes on 'Mechanical Beings' and 'Magic Users', since the rules of the RPG require a possibly wide array of differently named species or occupations that operate basically the same way in game terms to fall under the same rules. Wow, that sounds complicated.

I was thinking about eventually adding all of the more generic 'monster'-type customs I did for DC into Hellboy [again, a double sided card is always cool], but they're pretty low on the list of priorities. I mean, I'd rather spend my time making 'All-New' customs first! But yeah, I'm sure I'll eventually make 'em Hellboy.

Speaking of the Mummies, I just got a Tomb Mummy from HorrorClix:

He's going to be an Undead Unique Hero that is a Pharaoh [so the Mummy common hero can bond with him]. Any suggestions on how to make him cool? I don't really have any ideas for him yet! I'll probably end up putting him on a Hellboy card, which will prompt my OCD to convert the common Mummies over pretty soon afterwards!

By the way, the reason so many of my 'generic' customs are stamped DC is because I use them when we play the DCU RPG. Nosferatu is planned to be a major villain for the group of heroes [all members of the Justice League San Diego] at some point; in another adventure, the heroes will time-travel to WWII-era Egypt where they will face Mummies [and luckily have the help of the WWII-era Union Jack]. The stamp doesn't really matter anyway... when we play the RPG, I'll surely use many of the Hellboy customs [and won't bother to 're-brand' them] along with Classic and Marvel cards. I guess I just stamp them DC when I create them for use with that version of my Heroscape obsession!
