What do you guys think about this army for a small tournament I am hosting:
Sujoah-185
2xFyorlag Spiders-80
2xTSA-130
Total=395

Not bad. However, Sujoah is a hero killer, and I think this army might run into trouble against a squad heavy army. Especially if its lots of range, like glads/blasts or lots of 4th Mass.

It looks fun. Sujoah certainly has the ability to smash opposing heroes and the TSA are a decent ranged unit that can occasionally give a nice defensive surprise. I'd be worried about big armies like Sir Gilbert led KoW or Marcus led Legos/Sacred Band. No way to really address that though without moving away from Sujoah, I don't think.

For 500 points, you could throw in the Krav.

Clan & Aldin: I agree, however, no one in my gaming group has more than 2 of each common excluding me. With that problem gone I think I'll fair pretty well. Though one of my friends tends to play an elf army that attacks, gets summoned back, hibernates(heals), then attacks. He plays Sonlen, KG, Emmeroon, Arkmer,and something else.What would be a good strategy in general, and against this army? Gorthan: I'd do it if we played 500.

Since that's 310 it's either Sonlen weakly healing with perhaps Chardris rounding out the Elves or Kelda doing the honors and leaving 10 points for Isamu/Otonashi. Either way, without Ulginesh the OM management is going to be tough for the Elves and Sujoah's speed will cause trouble. Normally, you'd want to eliminate KG from an Elf army, but Sujoah's special may make that rather pointless. Instead, have him aim for first Sonlen, then Chardris (if he's there), then Arkmer. With those three down, the TSA should be able to mop up the rest with little problem.

Thanks, I played against my brothers Q9,Zettian Guards, Me-Burq-Sa, and Ne-Gok-Sa army and smoked him. But when my friend came over he played 2x WoB, 2xMoU, and Ashigaru yari and Sujoah died in the first turn! That was mostly due to bad order marker placement and his lucky rolling.

Well, Sujoah is out of his league in a squad heavy game such as you describe - and the WoB are very good TSA counters.

I don't think SuJoah and the Spiders are quite as bad against squads as people say, but I also don't think they can take down 4x Mass or 10th. However, I love them against Q9/Krav armies - they seem built for something like that.

rooster, if you're going for competitive-ness, I'd swap out the Sammie Archers for Stingers. But, if you're going for fun, leave those Sammie Archers in there - just don't forget to engage squad units with them!
