I just ordered these guys two days ago! That's such weird timing. They are a great Vydar kyrie sculpt. I could only order 4 from Miniature Market, but I'll have to see about getting more.

A-a-and now I don't have to work out a card. Nicely done, Lama. FIREFLIGHT is a great ability with a great name. Will I have to pay you a royalty fee every time I use my Vydar kyrie?

One thought: Right now FIREFLIGHT and STEALTH are really working at cross-purposes. FIREFLIGHT works best if the Enforcer is engaged with multiple figures. Stealth is best for ensuring that that never happens. Since you're paying for both abilities, that might be a problem.

I like them with Stealth, but if they aren't as effective as you (and I) would like, it might be worth it to drop the Stealth and raise their Defense to a 4. Right now, they are the same as the Protectors but with Fireflight instead of Combined Arbalest, which means the only reason to draft them IS to put them in melee and try for Fireflight. So Stealth may not be best.

I could, as ALWAYS, be wrong.

I love these guys. I am that much more excited to get my next delivery now. Thanks.

Thanks guys! I am glad you guys like them.

My original reason for giving them Stealth Flying was so that if they used Fireflight and left an opponent's hero behind that wasn't destroyed by the one wound, that hero couldn't make a leaving engagement attack against the Enforcer. My first draft just had the "if an Enforcer of Vydar is engaged when moved with Fireflight it will not take any leaving engagement attacks" clause at the end of the ability. I could always go back to that and give them regular Flying.

I had not thought of that. It's true that the wording could be part of FIREFLIGHT, but now I'm thinking if it needs to be there anyway, making it the stealth in STEALTH FLIGHT might be more versatile.

I'm convinced. And impressed . . . And a little hungry.

LOL. I am glad you like my stuff and thanks for the compliments. The Incarnations are probably my favorite series of figs that I have done so far; they were a blast to design (with much help from mac122, The B.I.V. and chardar I must add).

Here is another heroclix fig; the Black Knight...


I have back and forth between Knight or Champion and Hero or Squad.

As an uncommon human champion, he can bond with the KoW which could be a pretty powerful combo. That was my main hesitation in making him a champion. My main hesitation in making him a squad is I assume it would be a pretty expensive squad. However, I am not set on anything with him at this point.

If he becomes a sqaud, I can drop the Mechanical Steed power (or weakness). The idea behind it is that his "steed", with its front mounted gun, is the source of his range attack. Once it receives too much damage, the gun no longer functions.

For Hover I thought the idea of him hovering above the masses would be cool since he comes mounted on a transparent pedestal (as do other clix figs that fly). The thought is that if an enemy figure's base is less than 4 levels above the base of the champion, the champion his hovering above that figure on his "steed" so the champion has height advantage. Credit goes to jcmcminis for the idea for Hover (his Rearing Up ability was the inspiration for Hover).

So any thoughts?
1. Knight or Champion?
2. Hero or Squad?
3. Points?

Thanks for the cred LC. Love this idea. I say leave him as an uncommon hero, but I think knight would be better. Champion, imho, is more of a title for a unique hero. Overall love the drsign though and I think 110 is pretty close on points. How about calling him Vydar's Tech-knight

Nice! You are picking some great HeroClix figures! I think he's better off as an Uncommon Hero than a squad. If he is to be Uncommon, Knight seems to be more appropriate. First because, as you alluded to, the ability to have multiple Champions, and in this case, multiple, mobile, ranged Champions could drive the cost up. Second, Champion suggests the best of the best. Having multiples of that would seem to contradict that definition.

Very nice, Lama. I looked at this mini too, but didn't order it this time around. Now I think I might have to.

I love the card. You're a fun designer, Lama. And kudos to jcmcminis for the inspiration for a great idea.

Definitely make them Knights. Works better on an Uncommon and the idea of Sir Dupuis leading a mechanical cavalry is just irresistible. It will make Concan happy, too, and make them more fun on that last life.

Other than the "Knight" classification, there isn't anything I would change. The name too, I guess, if you go with Knight. "Mech-Rider" has a nice ring. I need to own some of these guys soon. Thanks for another great card.

Thanks for all the great responses! It seems the overall consensus is to keep him an uncommon hero and make him a knight. I had considered the unique squad route as well, but the majority won out this time.

I combined a couple of the suggestions for a name so he is a Mech-Knight. I don't know if I am sold on the name though- I am still open for suggestions.

Since the Mech-Knight seems to be OK I present another Heroclix fig. The fig used is Sharon Carter.
Needless to say, she screams out, "AGENT!"

She is really just a concept unit right now. I wanted to try out a couple of new mechanics.

I am eager to test to see how Incognito works. I always thought it would be cool to have a figure who could use the aura given by an opponent's Raelin or Taelord or [fill in the blank] against them. I am not sure of any weird interactions this may cause yet. If you can think of any let me know.

As far as Espionage, it just seemed thematic. The wording seems clunky to me although the ability itself seems pretty straight forward. Any thoughts on how I could word it better?

I really had to work hard to get the wording for Double Attack just right.

Let me know what you think. Critiques are always welcome.
