Heroscape Popularity on BGG

Barely a week goes by without there being a Heroscape thread as one of the "hottest" or most-read threads on the BGG forums, and now there's a Heroscape map in the top 40 of "images with most thumbs-up" during 2008 over on BGG:

Q - "Are you one of those people who does The Times crossword puzzle in 10 minutes?"

A - "I have NEVER taken 10 minutes!"

Yeah, that's my picture.

But she's more than just a booth babe; she's a character in A Touch of Evil.

Yes, I knew that as well, but I didn't just want to say I got distracted by a pirate, heh.

Very nice picture Jim.

There's not only a map included on the list, but there's also a custom card!

Re: Heroscape Popularity on BGG

Hmm... two pictures of Heroscape maps (although one of them is being used to play another game), a custom Jesus figure, and a couple more pictures of Heroscape figs.

Not too bad, considering many of us here don't seem to be on BoardGameGeek.com all that much.

Seriously, after scanning the list several times, and clicking on every hot girl, I still don't see anything heroscape on those pictures.

And a picture of the Obsidian Guards, plus a picture of a Shade!
Wow, that is quite a few entries for a single game.
Now if only we could get rid of all the "Heroscape is doomed" gossip, 2009 could be a good year for Heroscape to get new addicts.

Re: Heroscape Popularity on BGG

Well it currently has a 7.38 rating and is just outside the top 100... that ranks well for a game that has been out for 4 years ( going on 5 this year ).

When the hype of some of the new games go down .... I could see HS back in the top 100 easy ( after all it is in my top 5 )
