Future Kyrie Hopes/Speculataion
I'm sure most of you have noticed that the 3 Kyrie squads we currently have all conform to a 'double' theme.
The EI - Double Attack Sentinels - Double Shield Minions - Double Skull I'm also sure you have noticed that each is a common squad for a different General, leaving 3 more Generals needing a common squad of Kyrie to call their own. I couldn't sleep last night and I began thinking about what those 3 new squads might look like should they stick with the already established 'double' theme for the kyrie squads. This is what I came up with. Vydars' Soulborg Kyrie (Double Life) 3 figure common squad Life 2 Move 5 Range 1 Attack 4 Defense 3 Flying - Hard to Kill - In order for one of Vydars Soulborg Kyrie to die, they must suffer 2 or more wounds from a single attack. When only 1 wound is suffered from a single attack, ignore that wound. (This gives us a 2 life squad without having to worry about keeping track of wound markers for the different squad figures) Aquilla's Moon Tribe Kyrie (Double Move) 3 figure common squad Life 1 Move 4 Range 1 Attack 3 Defense 4 Stealth Flying - Hit and Run Tactics - After moving and attacking with a Moon Tribe Kyrie squad figure, you may then take a second move with that figure. Ullars' Kyrie (Double Team) 3 figure common squad Life 1 Move 5 Range 1 Attack 2 Defense 5 Flying - Swarm Tactics - When you reveal an order marker on this card, you may move and attack with 2 squads of Ullars' Kyrie instead of just 1. Any thoughts on what I came up with? Any ideas on what other 'double' themed powers they could have? the only other 'double' thing I could think of was a double range, but a range of 2 isn't much. ![]() I suppose I could stab it. I really like your ideas. I just don't think the double life thing will work out and I'm not sure they should make squad kyrie for all generals because that would seem to get quite repetitive. I hope you see what I'm getting at.

I really like your "Hard to Kill" idea, it avoids the continueing problem of 2-life squad confusion. I just don't think it should go to Vydar's kyrie. I think Vydar's kyrie should have range, Ullar's should have good move, and Aquilla's should have the extra life ability. They could obviously have other abilities as well besides flying. This making each stat reflect the kyrie's specialty:
- Defense - Move - Life - Range - AttackThen Einar's reflects the idea of adding phases to stats (their double attack gives you another attacking phase). |

I still think Vydar kyrie should be ranged. Ullar kyrie should have something like Frenzy or Berzerker Charge. But I don't know about the Aquilla kyrie. Well, the only hints I've seen on the official site are of Ullar's Kyrie. They are pictured to have mini crossbows, so I imagine they will be ranged. That will be huge, considering they can fly.
I imagine the Ullar Kyrie will be slower to make up for the fact that they are a ranged squad that flies. If they are faster, then their stats should be lowered to make them affordable. I'd say 2 attack at the most, since it will be very easy for them to get height. It would also be cool to see some kind of movement ability, such as the ability to add a few spaces to movement if they don't attack this turn. Vydar Kyrie are also likely to be ranged as well, and have some kind of range enhancement. I think something like Wait then Fire, but instead of getting an extra attack die, they get a few extra spaces for range. I could imagine them with sniper rifles or something, that would be cool. Aquilla Kyrie I think will be different. They should be more "native" looking, and less decked out with armor than the rest. I'm hoping that the Kyrie won't be that powerful, but will instead be very cheap flying figures. |

Ullar: Double Frenzy lol... You get to take 2 more turns on each 16 roll
or more seriously... Ullar: Double Bonding, you may move 2 heroes instead of just one. Help move them elves even more. These are also supose to have crossbows based on the jornals. Aquilla: Double Defense, you may roll again... chance of a worse roll ? Vydar: Double Null they can stick with not having any kyrie lol |

After thinking about it for awhile, I've decided I'd put more thought, reasoning, and detail into the kyrie idea.
I personally like the idea of having each general's kyrie squad having reflect (or have an ability reflecting) that General's stat theme. That said, I came up with this basis reflecting the stats, including already made kyrie: - Defense (Sentinels Of Jandar); Sentinels Of Jandars' specialty is doubling defense, so Jandar's kyrie reflect the defense stat. Raelin enhances extra defense. - Move; A good portion of Ullar's figures revolve around having move advantages, even his flag bearer enhances it, so lets have Ullar's kyrie reflect the movement stat. - Life; I was a little uncertain about this stat, but I feel Aquilla's theme reflects natural things and full of life, so I chose the life stat for Aquilla's kyrie. - Range; Vydar is range heavy, almost all of his figures have more than one range, so it's quite obvious that Vydar's kyrie will reflect the range stat. - Attack (Minions Of Utgar); Minions Of Utgars' specialty is doubling attack, so Utgar's kyrie reflect the attack stat. Taelord enhances extra attack. - Phase (Einar's Imperium); I think this idea is brilliant, personally. Since they're are only 5 main stats (besides points, I guess) I think of Einar's specialty reflecting phases in the game (like your move phase and your attack phase) since Einar's Imperiums' specialty is attacking twice (adding another attack phase). Kiova enhances extra defense phases.Notice attack is red and so is Utgar, defense is blue and same with Jandar, move is green and so is Ullar, and range is grey as is Vydar. I choose not to design my own customs because I believe Hasbro/WotC do a better job adding their professional creativity and expertees, so I just came up with a personal basis for them. They should make a common kyrie squad thats only special is Carry...so they can take themselves and another squad into the heat of battle in one turn
