Left 4 Dead almost here!!!

So Left 4 Dead FINALLY releases in 2 days. I'm stoked, anyone else out here pumped about it?

I have both a 360 and a great gaming PC but I'm going to be getting it on PC since most previews suggest that the more precise keyboard/mouse controls will help more in fighting the "Infected." If you feel competent with a gamepad for FPS gaming, you'll be fine, more than likely. I simply cannot use 'em for shooters.

Anyway, back on topic, the Demo has really impressed me though I have a few reservations after several play-throughs. I did a quick write-up here at this link, if anyone's interested:

Wow, weird that you hadn't heard of it - by most accounts, it's one of the top 2 most eagerly awaited games of the year, only behind Fallout 3.

One of my friends is completely obsessed with the game. He loves zombies. He stayed up till four in the morning playing the demo. He played it forty times. He's kind of obsessed with it.

I can't play either version yet, but it looks like a good time; I like the co-op survival idea. It reminds me of how much I would like to try one of those zombie survival games with guns that fire plastic BBs.

It was only a matter of time before someone (FINALLY) made the co-op zombpocalypse game we've all been waiting for. I hope this is it.

I just saw some gameplay videos. It looks epic-ly intense. I'm downloading the demo as-I-type. I noticed something kind of funny, though. Sounds like breaking metal, or ricocheting bullets are all borrowed from Half-Life 2. Not bashing them for that; it's a Valve Source game, so one might expect that. It's funny all the same.

Necro, I played the demo last night and this is it. The zombies are creepy as heck there are a few different types of zombies, you gain points for defending another player, or killing the stronger zombies, and most of all you need to stick together to survive.

Yes but she doesn't have XBL!!!!!!!! And if she gets it then maybe I can get L4D AND PLAY CO-OP or she can get COD 5 and after she beats campaign we can play Nazi Zombies!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Or you could get it on the platform with more precise controls - PC. Considering that it's going to be extremely important to be able to spin-around on a dime and target your zombie foes, you're better served getting it for that platform, if you have a decent system.

If not, the Xbox is certainly a viable 2nd alternative.

I've already got mine pre-loaded now, via STEAM so once 11pm tonight hits, I'm ready to rock. WOOT! Gotta love Digital Downloads, baby.
