Wave 8 sighting in Nashua, NH

After having no luck at any of the 'big box stores' in the Nashua area, I went to the Comic Store which is on Main Street in downtown Nashua. I've had marginal success in finding Heroscape there before, previously buying a Master Set and Fortress of the Archkyrie.

Today was a different story, though. They had much more Heroscape than I've ever seen them carry before. They had a few Marvel Master Sets, a Rise of the Valkyrie Master Set, at least 3 Rise of the Marrow Master Sets, a Road to the Forgotten Forest set, a Fortress of the Archkyrie set, a Ticalla Jungle set, the hero packs from Wave 7, and a complete set of Wave 8.

In the end, I walked out with another set of Wave 8, an extra pack of Militia and Wolves, the Road to the Forgotten Forest set, and the Ticalla Jungle set that they had out. While I was checking out, the owner told me that they had previously tried to get Heroscape without much success but now that Wizards of the Coast has taken over, it's been much easier for them and they are having a hard time keeping the new stuff (Wave 7 and later) on the shelves. When I told him I was 'clearing him out' of Wave 8, he mentioned he had quite a few more boxes to put out. Everything sold for MSRP but they have a member's club which I had apparently earned enough points on from previous purchases to get $10 off. The owner was also surprised to hear that Toys R Us and Target were no longer carrying Heroscape and said that it would make it that much more likely that he would carry the re-releases of earlier waves.

So if you're in the Nashua area and are looking for Heroscape, definitely check them out.

It's called "Comic Store"? It should be a good source for me to keep in my head if I need something.

Yep, it's called The Comic Store. Not exactly the most clever name but it works.

I don't know which side Collins Flowers is on, but The Comic Store is .9 miles south of there according to Google. It's on the left as you head south, towards the far end of a plaza (a few stores away from a KFC).

Happy hunting!
