How to resize a spring?
Hey guys I was hoping I could get some help. I was modifying a nerf gun I have and decided to stretch the spring some. Problem is though I stretched it to much now it is to strong for the gun. Do any of you know what the best way would be to "unstretch" it so its not so big? Any help is appreciated. Thanks jeff

Compress it.
or Heat it up, then compress it and douse it. or Shorten it. Try them in that order.

Pretty much the only reliable way is going to be cutting it off. Most springs have been tempered and will only take so much reformation after the process.

What do you mean by it being to powerful?
It's just a foam dart with a rubber tip. Circumcision? HIS body, HIS decision. A person should have the right to their own body.

I know what you mean, though, but a powerful one can be fun. Just play at a farther range

I mean the spring is to powerful for the gun. It goes back but then I dont have enough room so it wont ****.

yeah, if you want enough room, I think cutting it is the only way. It shouldn't take away any of the power.

But will cutting off the flat end were all springs are basically adjacent make it bend different or work different?
