Questions about the new Wolves

When I use their special, can I:

1.) Previously be engaged?

2.) If I can disengage with it, must I roll 1 attack di(c)e?

3.) Can I jump over figures? Like if there is a wall of reavers or something.

Pounce is a special attack and thus follows the rules of attacking in general, which say that you have to attack a figure you're engaged with. Pounce can't be used on adjacent figures, so your disengaging questions are moot.

I would guess that since this is not a special ability but a special attack, you have to live with the rules of engagement, as in you have to attack (in this case normally) what you are engaged to if you choose to attack. You may not make ranged attacks at another target when you someone engaged to you. (What Sherman Davies said)

The targeting things over something else would be akin to any other ranged attack, if you can see the red, you can make the jump, of course you cannot be engaged to the figure you are pouncing over.
