James Murphy is my Stand-in for Indiana Jones.....had to use the vipers for the snakes that Indy loves.

After seeing Raudulfr's custom pyramids, I decided to give it a go myself.
Here is what I came up with. I mounted each piece to swamp terrain.

Here is a broken column:


Here is a large and small pyramid:





I took some pictures of them on a custom map I am making for an upcoming game-day....I am calling it the "Indiana Jones" map. I took the pictures before I mounted the pieces so they look a little different here. And yes, I also took some pictures with James Murphy and some Venoc's as my own Indy, but I haven't uploaded those pictures yet.

The bordem of not having any new Heroscape has taken it's toll on me and I have moved in to the custom terrain arena. I made three pieces about a month ago, but needed to do some touch up painting before I took pictures. Tonight I finally finished them and here are some pictures.

There are three pieces and each one is made on top of original Heroscape terrain. I wanted to be able to start with one of more of these pieces and then build in to a larger map. In some of these pictures you can see where I have added additional terrain.

Piece-1 Small Hill







Piece-2 (The Tunnel)

The second piece has a tunnel all the way through it. I wanted to make the tunnel piece, but I didn't want to create a situation where there was extreme height, so the top of the tunnel doesn't not have any where to place a figure.

Piece-3 (Road in the trees)
The final piece is a road going through two small hills with some autumn colored trees.

Nicely done - great color scheme (among a lot of other great things).

Have you thought of darkening the edges of the path tiles on Piece 3 to give them more of a cohesive feel?

I have a new found respect for people who do custom terrain. It took me a long time to do these pieces. Mostly because of my inexperience, but also just because it takes a long time.

One of the biggest issues I had was that used some cheaper modeling clay and it kept drying and cracking. Note to self - spend extra money to get good clay!
