I guess the Templar. I haven't really had a lot of experience with any of these... but the Templar do look pretty cool, even if they are really fragile.

This is a toughie. I base my opinions mostly on their Power Rankings scores, since I haven't played with them yet. Templars scored poorly (plus it costs $10 for 3 smallish double-spaced figures), and the Ashigaru's aren't exactly primo material. The Retchets only come out sometimes. I'd have no idea who to pick.

I think I'll go with ranged attackers, even if they don't last long.

Easy vote.

1. Rechets of Bogdan: AE 2.0, an interesting ability revisited. Summoners are something we need more of, too. It also helps that Iskra is romantically involved with Judge Blacklock.
2. I mean Templar Cavalry: Sure, they're kind weak on defense, but they've got good theme and charging is oh so much fun.
3. Ashigaru Harquebus: Einar's 4th Mass., but defeatable Nuff said.
4. Ashigaru Yari: Still sort of fun to play, but just too weak for their own good.

Before Friday, I would've said the Templar hands down. But now, after fielding the Ashigaru Harquebus (3 squads) with Hatamoto Taro and Raelin, these guys rock. They are tougher than they look and their WTF isn't bad either. They got my vote.

I have to say Templar Cavalry.

Their ability to rack up attack dice through their special abilities makes them extremely powerful at times. Not to mention they are very mobile, and their value will only go up when Sir Dupuis is released.

The Retchets for me. The chance to instant kill medium figures is too good to pass up, they're thematic, great glyph grabbers, and they're basically a 100 point AE that can instant kill. What's not to love?
The Templar are in a close second, but they're almost as awesome.

I'm not really a big fan of any of these figures, although the cavalry definately have the coolness factor. I am however hoping that Kato Katsuro will add to the Ashigaru's effectiveness someday.

For a second there I thought you ment the other wtf.

Any way I picked the retchets. Why? Look at them. They're sick! Not to mention pretty good.

1. retchets
2. templar because they are good, but not as cool as the retchets
3. Harquebus because they have wtf...no not the other wtf
4. yari because, though I love the concept, are weak. No mele squad can have 1 deffence. Unless they are a squa of 4 worth 10 points

This is a tough vote for me too.
I surprised myself realizing how little I play this squads.
I've drafted the Retchets the most often and faced off against the Templar most frequently.

If I was to vote strictly on miniature sculpts, the Yari would blow the competition away.
They look supremely awesome en masse with those long pig stickers.
