Man I Hate Calling Wal-Mart

Her: (70 year old sounding woman) Heroscape, never heard of it. We do not have it

Me: I bought some from your exact store a few months ago

Her: I just went through the entire toy aisle, we do not have it and never have

Me: How could you never carry it if I bought some from your store a few month back

Her: It is not an item we have

Me: Hang up. Then I called the neighboring Walmart and according to their inventory not only does store A carry it (what a shock) but have 6 in stock

the last time i tried calling around to the big retailers i was

both Target and TRU. it was a nightmare of holding, repeating myself, holding again, repeating again. could have driven to each store in about the same amount of time.

never doing that again. hopeless, simply hopeless.

I love when you get either the person who barely speaks English or the super old person who can barely hear and cannot even repeat the name of the game to you then they go look and shockingly say they have none when they return.

These people working at those places don't really make enough $$ to really give a Deathreavers arse about what we want or think. They can't comprehend the importance of our inquiries, we're junkies trying to score our next fix and all our dealers our out of stock or are having trafficking issues.

If they don't care they should be fired. Their entire job is to care about what their guests want. I could potentianlly be buyign $200+ dollars of stuff (4 castle sets, 1 raknars vision, 2 tundras, + Wave 5)

Today I went to check and see if they happened to put the castle sets out or if they were in the back and someone could help me. I found and employee and showed her the tag on the shelf and asked if she could check for me. She looked at the date on the tag (8/4/06) and said that these came out on 6/4 two months ago. I just left.

I got the 10 minute wait this morning preceeded by two hang ups in transition from the pharmacy to the toy department (don't ask).

I have to say she was very helpful and patient. I'll give her that.

I tried but she didn't understand. I told her twice that it was 8/4 - August 4th and she insisted June 4th. I figured if reading a date on the tag is difficult I'd never get her to understand what I was looking for so I said thanks and left.

you have to talk to the person in the toy department.
this is key.
Then tell them that you are looking for a BOARD GAME (rember heroscape is marketed as a board game) called HEROSCAPE. It will be in your BOARD GAME isle. Ask them to please name off each expantion name or discribe what they have. I had this issue of dumb person when I called about a wave and asked for the wave, by name- to have him say they did not have it, so after I asked he name off the names and/or what they look like (of course he had forgoten the names, I guess pen & Paper are not something you carry around in a store...) and he discribed what I wanted. "THATS WHAT I WANT SAVE IT." And when I got there, it was off to the side on a box in the bike isle. Thanks for "saving" it in such a secret place... -iddots.
