Oh, for the young and non-religious people who don't get these jokes!

PS: Sacerdotally: –adjective
of priests; priestly.

That would make you a bad calvin as well then.

I was going to suggest a 'vocab of the day' type feature, where one of the mods specifically reads Rev's posts each day and puts definitions to the uncommon words on the main page.

Hey! These are perfectly ordinary words; words with which we should all become friends. <grin>

Actually, I think that would make him a "good Calvin."

Okay, since we are confessing...

This still haunts me, even though I "won" the game. I had Alistar MacDirk as my last figure on the board (round 12, although I forget the scenario). I was attacked first by Laglor, who had me pinned at the castle door (I was inside, he was blocking the exit), but I successfully defended them. My brother then brought up a Krav Maga Agent, behind Laglor, and tried to shoot at me from under Laglor's armpit. I said he didn't have LOS because Laglor was in the way. My brother argued that LOS was there because he could see me under Laglor's upraised arms. I argued my case again, and he ceded the game (as it was the last round, and I had successfully defended the castle).

I need to learn how to read...
"If something is partially blocking a figure that I’m targeting for an attack (ruin, another figure, tree), can I still attack it?

Yes, as long as you can look behind the target point of your figure and see ANY PART of the targeted figure’s hit zone, you can target it for an attack. You can target a figure even if you can only see a small portion of the figure’s hit zone; you do not have to be able to see a majority of the hit zone."

I'm always telling my students to read the directions and follow the rules...

I am a ponce

(We play LOS a little bit loose on purpose. If you can see more than a tiny sliver, you can target them around here. But that's not a rules foul-up.)

Oh, Presbyterians, being Calvinists, are heavy into guilt and confession; just we do it corporately more than privately and straight at God rather than sacerdotally.
Translation for mortals:
"Oh yea, the people in my church confess all the time, but I don't bother with it, I just make them talk to the man upstairs."

(And what he was thinking while he was writing it.) "But you know, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad idea. I've heard some priests just put up a price list for the various sins. Man that would be great, I'd just be raking it in."

No, I'm not attacking Catholics, it's a historical reference folks...

Wow, Kroc, you ought to nail those ideas to a German chapel door so we can debate them!
