College Degree
As you guys know I am pursuing an Architecture major. Now in America it takes five years to get a Bachelors of Architecture. Then you can get licsenced. In England you have to spend three years in college before you can get a Bachelors of Arch. Then you have to work for two years in an apprenticship. Then you go back to college for two years to get your MAsters. Then you can get Liscenced. I want to get my degree in england, because I've always wanted to go to college in England. My question is if I come back to the states with only the three years Bachelors degree, does that count for the Bachelors degree I would get here in America? Or would I have to complete two more years of college? OR would it not work out at all? Would I have to redo college here? Thanks in advance.

Easy, go to a college counselor and find out. First hand info is tons better. You have great goals though, congrats!

A BA from any recognised university (And the UK and US recognise each others registered universities) is a BA anywhere that recognises them.
If that makes sense. So - a BA in the UK will be ok in the USA, and vice versa, as long as you get it at a proper Uni and not some "Give us $10,000 and you can be a Doctor!" place. On my command, fix bayonets. |

I think that a BA will be a BA, so long as the school is accredited and well-respected. But don't take our words for it, ask a college advisor and also the schools to which you are applying.
As an art major, I know that many American art schools, and architectural programs often fall under that umbrella, offer study abroad programs that would offer you the chance to go to college in England without having to deal with the potential hastle of actually enrolling in an English school. |

Your mom won't let you go to regular school with other kids and you think she is going to let you go to England to get a degree while you are still under the age of 18?

I would be going to college when I'm 18. And my mom is cool with it.
