GenCon Nerak Contest

I have 1 new Nerak (unfortunately, without the Army Card) to give away. In addition, I have at least 20 copies of the Heroscape Comic book to give away. So, I am running a simple contest.

In 200 words or less (well, this won't be enforced), tell me either why you had the worst time at GenCon, or why it is the end of the world because you could not go to GenCon. Or tell me some other sob story related to GenCon. Or something really funny that happened at GenCon.

Keep in mind that many readers, including myself, have never been to GenCon, so don't assume we know what happens there. Also, your story must either be mostly true (you can embelish a little bit), or obviously not true (Tell me some story about how aliens abducted you at the beginning of GenCon and dropped you off at the end, so you missed the whole thing. Well, you can't use that one now...).

You have until next Wednesday, August 16th at 2:00pm EST to submit a response/entry.

I will pay to ship the Nerak and as many comics are the winner wants to anywhere that postal regulations allow, as long as it costs less than $25.

If the winning story is good enough (extremely funny, sad but true, etc.), I may decide to also include the Monks and Guards expansion set along with Nerak. But you really have to earn it.

In a haze, I struggled onward, riding my white-washed steed with which I was definitely not bonded as a beast. The sparkling, blue-green tarn greeted me as I used the last of my movement points to crest the six hex hillside.
"Cry Dagmar!" The Vikings looked up from their futile bath; hard water never washes well. They charged. Then rolled. Then charged again.

Somewhere, a Microcorp Agent cried, "Curse these new falling rules!" as his suit shrugged in impotence.
Nowhere, a disgusted Krug stormed off the battlefield, muttering something about bridges needing destructible walls.
Everywhere, red and blue dice were flying.

My charge met them (for some reason, they stopped short of me, rolling around in 14 kinds frustration).
"Death to the one who looks like he was a Samurai sculpt before Hasbro decided three Grimnak chows were plenty! Yay for 1.5::1.333 odds!"
The Viking's head rolled onto the sparkly water. My fellows crested the rise behind me, falling on the remaining Vikings. One of the northmen said, in astonishment, "Blades?", before comprehension dawned as he saw my $100.00 pricetag.
His companion muttered, "At least they won't bond with Mimring," seconds before the mighty Grimnak came over the rise.

Coudn't make the Con.

Once upon a time, the world blew up the day before GenCon '06 and i missed it.

there was once a kid who wanted to go to but couldnt . He was 15 and had no money to get to . He wanted to go so that he could get this new figure that was some kind of orc , but what was this new orc called and what did it do ? He wanted to go to this years to get this fig. so he wouldnt be left out on this new fig. like last year, but yet is too poor again and can not get a ticket from VA to go all the way to IN . He was sad and really wanted these two figs. and his journey continues to find them. :koolaid:
