Ullar is the best for defending a castle because, they have sylvaris, aubrien archers, kyntela gyen, alcholar, and sonlan, now if you have thorian, its over! no contest, btw vydar stinks

You know you can mix generals right? I mean that you can have one of Vydar, Jandar, etc. You do right?

Back on topic, I dont think there's a general out there that can really completely dominate a castle, but if I had to choose I think Vydar would do best. Krav magas, microcorp, Q9, other range figures, and maybe Morpheus as a doorman or somthing. Of course, I have about as much experience with castles as Michael Jackson has experience with women so my opinions near worthless. |

It depends; Ullar for far range[and frenzy] or Vydar for closer range[and Q9

I'll just say I was crapping my pants going up against a castle with Taelord plus a couple squads of 4th Mass up on top.

The best army for up top a castle is Deathwalker 9000, Deathwalker 8000, the Zettian Guards, Warden 816, Arrow Gruts all adjecent to the Swog Rider, and Thealord up top. My reason is because Zettian Gaurds add 2 to there range (7+2=9) when adjecent to Deathwalker 9000. Arrow Gruts have 1 attake pluse 1 for the Swog Rider and another from height plus 1 plus another for Thealord and that makes 4. Warden 816 adds 1 to all guards movement. Thealord makes Deathwalker 9000 attake 5 plus height makes it 6. Deathwalker 8000 attake is 3 plus height 4 plus Thealord 5. Zettian Guards attake is 2 plus height 3 plus Thealord 4 and Zettian Targeting 5. Theres my statement to you Vydar
I have these sets: 1 RoTV 1 SoTM 4 Crest of the Valkyrie 1 RttFF 1 Orms Return 3 Castle Sets 1 Raknars Vision 2 Thaelenk Tundra Wave 1:3/4 2:2/4 3:1/4 4:4/4 5:2/4 6:3/4 7:4/4 |

I think the best team for castle defense would be a mix (you know you can do that right?).
I'd do something like Taelord, Marcus Gallus, and 4th Massachusetts Line. Marcus and Taelord would boost the 4th Mass considerably, who would benefit from being very high and not moving. If they covered the landing spaces on the wall properly, you could mow down many types of approaching army. Another option might be Blastatrons on top of the wall, backed up by Gladiatrons in the field. You could boost the Blastatrons with DW9K and Laglor, as well as Taelord. Your opponent would then face a powerful ranged threat at a distance of up to ELEVEN space away...plus he'd get tangled up on Gladiatrons as he approached, so you'd get plenty of shots in. Adding Deathreavers to this mix makes things even more frustrating for the enemy....rush them out of the castle to secure glyphs or engage your enemy's skirmishers, and then never move them again...let them scatter from one position to the next. Warden 816 would be another consideration here, if you felt like you might need to move the Blastatrons a lot. Depending on point value, Captain America might make a good backup booster in either one of these armies, giving them an extra die. He could also make a solid finisher to anyone that manages to break the ranged defensive permiter. |

I have just about had enough of this inane drivel.
Vydar_191, I've just checked up on your posts, and somehow nobody has pointed you to this post yet: http://www.heroscapers.com/community...d.php?p=457939 The gist of the message is that you need to quit writing like a hyperactive rhesus monkey. Urban Ullar, that goes double for you. http://drakesflames.blogspot.com Drake's Flames, my crassly opinionated game review site. Updates three times a week. |
