Campaign Newbie

I was thinking it'd be fun to create a campaign, possibly starring Spider-Man, but I'm not too sure how to go about it. I have most every figure in the game, but not more than two of any commons. I don't have a lot of terrain expansions, though I might get some road & tree sets after Xmas.
I guess what I want to hear is some suggestions for how to write a campaign and assemble boards that string together nicely, as well as a continuation of interesting scenarios.
