Noob Questions

If my character has more than one "special" attack, can I use them both on the same turn? How many times a game can you use each character's "special" attack? Can you use a "special" and "regular" attack on the same turn?

If I have 3 squads of Orc Blades on my army and have my number 1 order marker on them, do all 3 squads get to move on my first turn or is each squad seperate and I ned to have a seperate army cad for each squad?

Thanks for your help. It may not seem like it, but I have read the rule book. I just dont think it answers these questions very clearly.

1. You can only use 1 attack(Special Attack) per round. Some units let you activate an attack and other powers in the same round, like Sonlen or Kee-Mo-Shi. Remember, 3 rounds per turn.

2. If you had 3 squads of Blade Gruts, you would only need 1 card. However, when moving for your round 1 marker, you would only get to move 4 Blade Gruts, not all 12. You can move any 4 of them though.

Hope that helps

Uh, actually, it is three turns per round, but other than that, Uprising's answers are correct.

You can use either a special attack or a normal attack once per unit turn. In a few instances, there are also special abilities that may be used. The card will tell you if those abilities are activated before moving, after moving but before attacking, or whenever.

With multiple common squads, on each turn you may move the number of figures shown on the right of the card (where the target areas are shown). You may only attack with the same figures you moved (you may, of course, choose to move 0 hexes, and attack where you are, if possible). The two exceptions I can think of are the Marro Drones, where you roll the d20 before moving to see how many (3, 6, or 9) of them are activated that turn for movement and attack; and the Zombies, where you can move 6 and attack with 3 of them.

Hope this helps.

I always thought it was 3 rounds per turn. I'm so ashamed.

Not to call you (or myself) out, but you probably played D&D, didn't you? It's 10 rounds per turn there. I have to correct myself on that one all the time.

Because of my bloodline, I like to play the MacDirks, and so am often very aware of the round/turn distinction.

No. I've never played D&D. I think I'm just Turn Marker challenged :P

Keep in mind that with the Zombies you can attack with three even if they didn't move on that turn, while still moving six of them. I say this because I always have to remind myself that this is one of their abilities. It's great to be able to use nine figures in one turn.
