Anybody ever get sick of the old card style?

I am not bashing the game or anything, I really love it but do you ever get sick of the old card style or at least the shape? The Hexagon shape makes it kind of odd, I have been working with some designs and seeing what looks nice anyone else do this?

While I think it would have been nice if the designers had made the cards rectangular, I wouldn't want them to change it now and have two different shapes to deal with.

Personally, I like how the hex cards fit around the board's hex shape. That way they don't shift and slide over the table.

My own personal opinion to the shape of the cards is that I really, really like them and haven't gotten sick or tired of their shape yet.

There are SO many games out there with standard card sizes and shapes, why would you want something generic for a game such as HeroScape? Yes, the shape of an HS card does make storage somewhat awkward. But there are so many different options out there to help keep the cards in pristine condition (eg., translucent CD sleeves), the cards shouldn't be looked at in terms of their awkwardness. Rather, they should be praised for their uniquness.

They are just too big. I love the look, but playing space trumps pretty.

Blasphemy...

Admittedly, yes, the cards are somewhat large. But their size has never been something I've looked at negatively. I just work around it. I'd much rather have large, vibrant cards than smaller, standard cards. Again, just my opinion, as I do like the design you put together.

Thanks! I guess if space wasn't an issue, I never would have wanted smaller cards. (Darn kids and their need for a kitchen table for things like homework, and eating )

I tried the search engine with those four exact words. It didn't find your thread. Looks like it still needs a bit of work.

ReqMan is surprisingly tart
Yes, Raudulfr's cards are excellent. I use them instead of the originals now whenever I play.

The smaller cards also mean I dont risk damaging the originals, they are easier to flip through and handle (and shuffle when playing random selections), and much easier when printing off customs (which we have many).
