Just saw the new commercial today. Hopefully we will get more blood to the game and Scapes campaign will rule for ever.

I just saw it a minute ago while flipping channels. I'm pretty sure it was on Cartoon Network. It kind of seems like they did get someone with a deeper voice to talk. I liked the old voice better. Oh well, no big deal.

I found it odd though that they don't explain a little bit of the storyline on the commercials, buuuut... it does get kind of complicated, and would take quite a while to explain it.

Thats all I really have to say about that.

Re: New Commercial!

Yes, I'm pulling a hardcore necro with this thread. But I figured I'd just append my find to this one, rather than start yet ANOTHER Heroscape commercial thread.

Below is the commercial that was being discussed here, comlete with SotM and Marvelscape:

Had never seen it before, and I'm thinking the same can be said for a lot of other folks here. So there you go.

Enjoy!

Being a relatively new poster myself, I have noticed that a handful of the site veterans are somewhat... less than accommodating with new blood. Some of the harsh posts I've seen are along the lines of:

"Read the rules you moron", "Do you know what the search feature is?", "We had a thread about that in 2004! Flippin' noobs!", or Why are you asking questions about Marvel Heroscape? Marvel is dead you loser!" (paraphrasing)

If a new TV campaign is running, I'd expect folks to find this website and I'd like to think that some of that behavior could be reigned in and/or monitored better rather then leaving users with a bad taste in their mouth. I'd go as far as temporarily banning vet users who feel the need to jump down the throat of a newbie... but that's just me.

Re: New Commercial!

What originally drew me away from buying heroscape years back, was because: 1 the basic game cards looked too simple.

Second was the terrain. All it showed was a bunch of hills you could make. I couldn't even tell it was grass, rock, sand, etc. I think the commercial would have been better showing like a mountain, then a river, then a lake, etc. just to tell people it was supposed to be an outside battle.

Re: New Commercial!

This was actually the commercial I saw that got me hooked on scape a few years back. (only it was going slower for the RotV part, and it didn't show SotM or Marvel; I don't think either existed when I saw it)

I'm gonna have to watch it again if Carr really did get summoned away before being assassinated by Isamu.

Edit: Nope, no sword or anything. I guess it was a poisoned candy bar then (at least I think so).
